Camp Fire Relief Run 11/17/18

This is from highway 32. While I was at work in Chester my wife was driving in that shit.
Never felt so helpless!!

Sorry for your losses. What specifically do you need currently? I saw the other thread to donate. People here may have items you need instead of buying new and spending all your cash.

 

@Whitebutler , so what do you guys need personally? Get us a list, we'll make it happen.

 

Wish this was a sunday run so i could make it. Working sat. We have been helping out people at my work with being displaced and doin alot to help them. Total life changing event for alot and wish i could join in on this run

 

There will be more..unfortunately. but people are gonna be hurting for a long time. No reason you can't start your own relief run and get some guys together.

 

Well hard to start when we will be living in a travel trailer for a few months. Or maybe a few years?
We have little to no storage and little to no space. I am going to build a small storage shed here till we get back to Paradise however that's going to be a few weeks also.
Lost my winter job of metal detecting (now that I have lost five detectors) which is half or more of our income. Don't care about detectors. Don't need fishing things yet.
I really don't know what we need besides just a day or two a month to just step out. An excuse to not think about it. Folks of similar interests and who enjoy the outdoors. Maybe a drink? Everyone has helped so much it's hard to say what we "need". Gift cards are so awesome and we aren't overwhelmed with those yet. We were able to get the things we need. Each other and the children safe.
I'm just going on and on. My thumb is sore.

Hey man, you got a right to go " on and on". And maybe when things get more routine for you guys we all go have a dinner and drinks. Just a lil mental reset or as my boss used to say "stress day" break.

We're in Anderson. Short drive in the I5 and Bam here you are. As soon as we get a bit more settled we will come down your way. I have too get insurance to pay for Tacoma and some shuts gonna be hatnen!

 

Holy crap!
I'll do this Sunday. The inlaws are coming up from Monrovia and Glendora. Sunday afternoon they should be here. I will be better equipped to answer this question at that time. I will get a list made up and check things off as things happen.
Didn't know they decided to just show up.

 

My wife says for sure a table. Like a plastic folding table. We can stow it in the trailer if we have to go places. One or can eat at outside. That's one thing we know for sure.

 

Done. I’ll grab one tomorrow and hand it off to one of the guys heading your way. Wish i could come meet you and hang out but it’ll have to be for another day.

The radio station in Susanville raised almost $59,000 yesterday to be sent to the Paradise Rotary Foundation next week.

Well lost most of my have tools and have no other outside stuff and absolutely no inside stuff. I would love to just up and move to meadow valley again but that's not happening.

Did you grow up in Paradise? My Uncle and his family built a home there and we visited them a lot over the years. They lived not too far away from the HS.

 

Didn't grow up there I've been there the last ten years. My grand mother and her family were born in their homestead in upper Paradise. My grandma's least name was Bille, as the Bille Rd and park and all.
