Oh man, you just gave me serious flashbacks of having to boot up Heroes of Might and Magic in DOS.

I've got friends that are still pretty serious gamers but as life gets busier I've found I just don't have the time. I will buy a game every once in a great while and feel like I wasted my money because I only play it for a couple dozen hours. Meanwhile I spend far more on events that only last a few hours lol.

 

I did have Doom and Doom 2 they were bad ass, especially being able to peak around the corner.

 

Command and conquer the army game?

 

The RTS game. Kind of army i guess. Had to mine Tiberium to get your resources to build stuff.

My Gf only knows WOW Warcraft not the OG stuff, she didn’t believe me when i told her it what is was originally

 

Apparently they're remaking WarcraftIII.

 

Warcraft III, Command and Conquer, WOW Classic, FFVII.....these companies know they have to do minor updating , bit of bug fixes (maybe) and can rerelease them. Even at $30 bucks you know a bunch of people will buy them and the cost to update them is easily recouped.

 

The first war craft that came out around the time of command and conquer. I stopped world of war craft after the expansion packs were a must buy.

 

I’ve never understood why more companies don’t update the graphics of older games and re-release them. I’d gladly pay to play video games from my childhood with a modern look to them

 

you're really taking me back with this shit. I started with DOS games and was into X-Wing and Wing Commander at first and then did all the RTS games and everything after that. I actually just hooked up my old gaming PC and got the family into playing Spore.

 

I'm trying to run cmd line and boot up Warcraft on laptop as I type.... :nerd:

I understand though. We were on a party line when I was a kid. Also watched Andy and old Boss Hog.

 

Not sure who Opie is/was, but wasn't Andy Griffith the actor from Matlock? I've maybe seen one episode of the Andy Griffith show.


My Google foo tells me Opie was Ron Howard who I know from happy days, and as a movie director.
