    Ouch
It’s a crack on a passenger side of the windshield. I have line assist camera attached, so it will cost extra for “recalibration” of the system

Anyhow I will wait till one day it goes across like a web and then replace it

Haha, hahaha...hehe, gah hahahaha. Back in my day "line" assist was a steering wheel. Today my AI line assist is my wife.

Welps folks, you heard it here first. The LAST yr Tacoma that should ever be purchased....is a 2017

It’s cheaper to have lane assist than getting a wife in a modern times, plus less sterss while driving

The last year of tacoma will be when they stop selling MT, then it will be rigeline on steroids.

So lemme see if I get this straight...you pay extra for a nagging bitch (tss), it costs more to maintain the nagging bitch (tss) ie. 1200 windshield rep. And you don't get a happy ending? Is that your argument? Lmao

With a wife, there's lane assist and happy ending at the same time.

It’s a one time payment vs 50 year plus finance :D

Well, that’s like asking for an accident if that is happening at the same time

Apparently not a 1 time payment, I submit your 1200 dollar invoice for new windshield as evidence

    Ok, I wasn't gonna rant...I promised myself I wouldn't rant. I find I can't not rant...so

This is incredulous...it is literally the definition of "law of unintended circumstance".

So let's peel this onion a lil bit...TSS (Toyota Safety Sense) is a product designed to improve safetiness in vehicle operations, I think we all 'get' that. So now we have a situation whereby the safety device enhancement is impaired by having to replace a cracked windshield without calibration. Said calibration increases the repair cost (prohibitively I argue) by 3 times conventional cost. I say prohibitively because many people (as evidence yourself) will balk at the repair and continue to operate an unsafe vehicle due to cost. It is impossible to safety certify a vehicle with a cracked windshield that is in the area of the wiper path...because it is UNSAFE. Yet you could easily safety certify a vehicle if the lane assist was non functional because the inoperability of said lane assist does not make the vehicle UNSAFE.

So, the implementation of Toyota 'Safety' 'Sense' has, in the above use case, rendered the vehicle UNSAFE...albeit by the operators motivations. I'm not saying that it's negligence on the operators part (it is), but my point is the unintended circumstance of foisting "safety" (read kabuki theatre) on society has people potentially operating unsafe vehicles due to the prohibitive cost of said safety measures.

    Ok, rant over...party on Garth!
