Are these wheels 7" or 7.5" wide?

'06 Access 4x4 with 2019 TRO OR wheels and tires.

Found on Bay Area CL: 400 mile takeoffs with lug nuts and lug locks...............$400

 

Dang, that settles it for me. I also have a silver streak AC and those gen 3 OR rims look amazing!

 

The wheels are:

What size tires and what is your suspension setup? Thanks

 

The wheels and tires are stock 2019 OR "16 wheels with the stock Goodyear Wrangler 265/70 tires. I will go back to 265/75 tires when these wear out.

Suspension: Fresh yellow Bilsteins F&R (4), Stock coils up front with new top hats and 1" spacers. Rears, new factory TSB 3-leaf + overload springs and bushings. But..............with the camper shell and the 200# of tools I daily carry the rear had the usual sag. Not acceptable. So...I cut down one of the stock factory 2006 2-leaf pac springs that came originally on the truck and added it to the TSB 3-leaf pack creating my own add-a-leaf for free (4+1).

Results: The look is exactly what I was wanting (carrying the tools & topper) and very well balanced. But if I put even 1 2x4 in the bed, then the rear sags. I plan to cut down the left over original factory spring (2+1) that I still have and add it to the rear pack as a second add-a leaf for an all stock parts 5+1. This has all been an experiment and I'm a cheep SOB and could not toss the stock 2006 leaf pack with out giving it a shot.

Driveability: The ride as is is just a little soft for me in the front end. I am an old school guy and like a truck to handling like a truck. I am planning on installing Bilstein 5100 around as well as a full bushing/ball joint rebuild on the front end (needed @130K miles).

Sorry for being long winded in this post but we spend a lot of time and $$ to set-up our trucks and trial and error is time consuming and expensive. Hope this helps.

That’s also about the going rate on Denver Craigslist and what I paid for mine.

 

I got my set of the new red pro wheels for $800 with tires that had about 9,000 and a new spare. If you look people are selling without tires for around $400. I sold my stocks for $300 with barely any tire tread left.

 

In the SF Bay area CL, there are 5-6 pairs of 3rd gen TRD OR wheels only, for $400 or more that have been posted for months (2-3) with no sale. There is even a pair @ $350 still sitting. When you look at take offs with tires there must be 10-12 total listings not selling. There seems to be a glut on the local market and no one is backing off their price. I sold my stock '06 TRD OR wheels (4) with worn tires for $150 and considered it a bonus. Just a data point and observation.

 

Just got my 2018 TRD off road wheels on with 265/75/16 Toyo Open County AT2 AW tires. the ride very well and look great!

 

Are you in Canada? We can't get the Toyo AT2 winters here in the states. Those tires look pretty big for a 265/75/16, but definitely a good set up. I was debating getting a set of TRD offroad wheels for winter, but can't justify it yet.

 

What's the weight compared to the crappy 2nd gen alloys?

 

I'm looking at a brand new set of 3rd gen OR takeoffs. They still have the TPMS in them is there anything I need to do to calibrate them to my 2015 OR Tacoma?

 

3rd gen tpms will not work on 2nd gen.
