Very early 13lb thanksgiving turkey for work stuff. I’ll post pics tomorrow of the end result. Using Apple wood too.

Not exactly the color I was going for.. but the flavor is spot on.. just a dab of buffalo sauce for balance. IMG_20181117_124604447.jpg

Just had dinner at a local joint where they over hype their burnt ends. Available each Thursday until they sell out. Well, they had them available since they didn’t open Thursday as a result of the storm we had, so both the wife and I ordered them. You could tell they were reheated. They were good, but I wasn’t impressed, and wouldn’t say they are outstanding. Wife said mine are better.

This group never ceases to amaze me. Wasn't even sure what goldfish crackers where when it came up about them and chili. At the grocery store today saw them on an end cap, all types for the holidays. Ahh now I remebered had been a LOT of years since had them. So picked up some cheddar. And black bean pico de gallo. To go with my avocado and chili. With some corn that I threw in it.

Best bowl of chili I have ever had in my life. Because flavors....

    chilli pico de gallo.jpg

That right there is gourmet mac and cheese, and then some. Don't believe that I have ever had truffle before :anonymous: Know it is expensive but supposedly a small bottle will last a long time because it is potent. I am going to have to do this. If you say it was tasty have no doubt that it is worth doing

Goldfish or Whales are good with chili, but nothing tops Frito’s in chili IMO.

The CGG (chief grocery getter) bought a 3# boneless turkey breast roast. Never smoked 1 before, I guess I'll just wing it.

That’s what I’m doing for thanksgiving.

Plan is to brine it, spg, and smoke to 165.

Having smoked meatloaf for the first time tonight. I hadn’t even heard of such a thing until a week or two ago in this thread.

I was reading somewhere a while back and there was talk of a recipe for smashburgers, was that in here? Looking to try some out finally.

Too far of a drive. So I didn’t message. It’s a good 45min each way. Too lazy and cold. Friend said more than likely the owner just installed the drip pan incorrectly :bananadead:
