I can't believe how much the VA system has changed in over a year especially for making sure you won't miss your upcoming Doctors appt

In the last 2 weeks I've received email reminders twice , Text messaging reminders twice with replying yes and or no if you'll be there or not . Today I recieved a phone call from the VA again asking me if I'm going to be there ot not

Now I've got Doctors appointments on Monday and Tuesday so you can imagine how many times I've been asked about these upcoming doctors appointments

Driving up to Palo Verge today to drop fuel, I seen this. I'm actually in Ca at this point, but the river is on the left of the freeway and the west end of Yuma. There was some kind of balloon festival this weekend. It was kind of weird driving under the ballons over the freeway.

For 20+ years, the KentuckyDerby has had balloon races in the week prior to the horse race. My shop is almost directly under where they first start to gain altitude. Amazing craft!

    Great story.
Reminded me of my first bow kill. My uncle Norb had a camp up in the Michigan U.P..
He always was giving me a hard time about everything. Well, my first bow kill was a young one, no spots. The morning after I got it I woke up and my uncle was frying up bacon. He said to me that I should go check my deer and make the neighbors cat didn't drag it away.Ha,Ha.Later he wanted to see where I shot it. I took him back in the woods to the spot. He looked down and said he could see where I dragged it. I said no you can't. He said look there's the deers spots, when you dragged the deer it's spots came off, again he put his had over is mouth and laughed. Uncle Norb died in 2000, at his deer camp. I enjoy this time of year because of him.

Morning everyone. Little side job this morning. Installing baseboard heat in an addition so homeowner can finish drywall, paint, and lay floor. Couple smoke detectors, finish deviceing out. Not sure if I will get to outside lights and GFIs. Try, try, trying to put the tools to bed for the year. Kind of in the doghouse for working two Sundays in a row. Happy Sunday!

My first buck was on the homeplace. dad got me a 30-30. no scope. sittin by my self for first time.a spike came around the ridge. did like dad said. if you decide to shoot one focus on vitals and dont look anywhere else as in the horns. long story short i shot, he took off and i kept shootin. empty gun. i hit him 5 times and made a mess of the meat but my pawpaw said good shootin boy but your first shot was perfect, dont waste ammo like that. horns on a plack with brass plate with date name and first kill. still hangs in my shop!!

Happy Sunday all. My back is barking today from a bit of overdoing it yesterday with the summer to winter yard equipment changeover.

Commercial mower run dry and moved to shed - check
Leaf shredder run dry, removed the shoot to fit in the shed - check
Snow plow and mount installed on quad - check
Snow blower moved out of shed and started. Carb leaks... - check
Snow that hasn't melted on the sidewalk as the guessers predicted shoveled - check
Moved some crap around the basement - check
    Liquor store run - check

    I work with morons.

Big party in main Dining Room(s) last night. There are 8 doors that separate the 2 rooms. Young Einstien catering manager decides to take down the doors to make it "one big room". Doors need to be back up by 9AM today for another gathering. The 8 doors are laid flat on the floor, with 32 tables and 220 chairs stacked ON TOP OF THEM. No one scheduled here to move chairs/tables. I get a text at 8:20 telling me to put the doors back up. I sent a text at 8:25 informing the catering manager she needs to get her staff here NOW and move tables and chairs because I'm NOT moving them.

    It will get ugly soon.
