Does it flip an image upside down? I would need to mount the camera wires back and thus flip the camera upside down

I could mount the camera with the wires back and then cut the Green wire. The only problem is finding a place to do that and look good and get the front image that I am looking for. My guess is I will have to make a bracket to do this. Or Buy a new camera :spending:

For those that use this switch, so you guys only have to trim the side of the opening? It looks like the height is fine, it's only the width that's need to make it wider.

Only the left and right need to be trimmed. The top and bottom is fine.

I have a question, I just want to make sure I understand you correctly.
I have the full kit and DPDT switch.
Is it necessary to connect the red wire from the relay to red wire from the harness? I want power to camera when the switch is depressed, I don't want the camera on all the time.

Check out this schematic. Should answer your questions.

The black from the harness is actually hot and the red from the harness and red from the relay are only connected when the switch for the front camera is selected. If you hardwire those together, you'll only get front and not rear camera.

Anyone else has this problem? My Yimu camera image also looks black and white.

I figured out why the image looks black and white. It's because the setting was on PAL format, once i changed it to NTSC then it changed to color. Everything looks good. This project is done!!!

Awesome, I'll try that tomorrow. Do you recall the button press sequence to change video standards?

Three quick push of the button will change it between PAL and NTSC.

Just curious, I tried to mount in the same spot but that put the rod right up against some TSS stuff and I couldn’t get the retaining nut on. Did you run across the same thing?

    • I’m slower than everyone else
    • I’m OCD until I run out of patience and then it’s Gitter Done
    • Brian was great, I seemed to have a snag in my setup and couldn’t get it to work and he sent me a replacement pronto.... worked like a charm
    • When filing your opening for the AOB DPDT switch, don’t let your wife take the dremel to a dog show or you’ll end up using a hand rasp
    • There are tons of cameras out there, I ordered two different ones and kept the one with the best picture quality.... actually, still have the other too
    • Measure twice, cut once also works for measure twice drill once
I have an OEM Pro grille on my OR, and I have the TSS bezel. I centered my camera but then couldn’t get the retaining nut on because it was flush up against the TSS housing. I ended up having to move it offcenter a bit.... more than necessary because of the ‘Doh!’ hole.

FWIW, the camera I got seems to have a really clear picture and decent night performance.

In the end I ended up with the full kit, a front camera, the AOB DPDT lit when active, but I haven’t installed the Nav override. Perhaps at some point if i find a need. More pics below.

PS, many thanks to those that have come before and sorted this out and provided help/diagrams/etc.
