Would a bad zone valve have affect on
    stat function?
Would it recognize that and override the heat function?
I have my house heated pretty high and new stat set on 69. I will see what happens from there when temp drops past there. All pipes (except 2nd floor) along outside of basement were cool. Are cool . I am hoping it’s just from heat not being on all day. Why I asked about valve probably not allowing water past it

Sill plates are a problem area, and that’s a good call on the foam.
Maybe even from both sides In/out

What did you do for air flow for your roof?
Those foam inserts that allow air to flow behind them from soffit to ridge vent?
I have my knee walls insulated and overhead as well with inserts running behind fiberglass right up to ridge. Floor in crawl space is insulated to keep heat from lower floor to escape. The whole upstairs had wainscoting walls and ceiling along with these stupid built In bureaus. I gutted it , dry walled ,added Additional outlets on each wall ,lights In crawl space and on ceiling.
Custom made doors for each room on each wall of the crawlspace ,insulated doors. Four doors and total. And through all that I kept all my hardwood floors in good shape .Did not refinish them until after I was done with the project.

Will do. We have a ton of stuff by camp. It's 30 mins to Rangeley, 30 mins to Sugarloaf, and lots of ponds, lakes, and water falls, and obviously logging roads to explore

I meant to say congratulations in my last post! Looked like an awesome spot to propose. If you have any questions about things for your wedding feel free to shoot me a message! I've learned alot about weddings the past few years and if you have any random questions I'd be happy to answer them.

    Some stuff
I did not vent the roof.
This is a "hot roof", or insulated assembly. Its slightly above min code, RIGHT NOW, but the plan is add foam panels, on top of the sheathing, then, metal. May not happen for a while, so, I made sure, to get above code for now. Will also prevent condensation on the inside.

There is much more to be done. Doing things in stages, but, done as such it wont bite me in the tail.

    Same here, congrats!

I dont know about that, but, thanks...:hattip:
I am a mechanical contractor. I'm pretty much only indusustrial, but did commercial/industrial/and some automation for quite a while.
So, everything I do here, is done in that vein.
Conduit from main panel, all the way up to the sub panel
Piping for air handlers supported by strut.
Hard duct off air handlers, with r8 duct insulation(only flex is take off for 2nd floor vents[sound], and the bathroom, which ger hard piped now that its insulated).
While all this is happening, also integrating the house to a "smart home".
Took a bit of time the best path, to make it all worm seamlessly in the end. But, its coming together.
Eventually, I will get he outside painted, or sided, and I wont cringe anymore when I look at it.....:annoyed:

You will also have a ton of equity in the home, and raised it's value a decent amount as well. Sounds like a win-win-win.
