Seriously, dings, scratches, and dents are gonna happen. Glad they fixed it without giving you a hassle and at least owned up to it. Enjoy your truck as intended!

This made me laugh. I completely destroyed our walls bringing a couch up the stairs (and damaged the couch) with one other person when we needed four people. There's a massive hole at one point, and my wife, instead of making me fix it, wants me to leave it for a few weeks so not only she but the wall can remind me of what a dumbass I am. Good strategy.

That’s not reminding you, lol. My wife would make me fix it. Then tell me it’s not good enough and to keep working on it. The whole time I’m working on it and after it’s completed, would remind me every time we walked by it by calling me a dumb ass.

Asking for a free set of wheels like another member mentioned seems wrong to me. Thats taking advantage of a situation that was an honest mistake. They shouldve let you know before they fixed it, but be glad that they did something at all. I would be asking for a new door at most, but I would ask a Toyota body shop first.

No, just no. Don't call cops for this type of thing, it's not a police matter. It's a civil issue to be handled in small claims court at the very worst situation. This is not a crime and doesn't require police. You will either be told it's not a police matter by dispatch or told the same by an officer who responds and wastes him time.

If someone called this in, and I was working dispatch, my exact response would be "This isn't a police matter and I'm not sending you an officer."
