eBay TRD Pro grill aftermarket, which one is best? or does it matter??

Use the stick tape to hold them on and epoxy the back posts to the frame. you will know what i mean when you get it , and let the paint dry a few days if its cold out, and don't forget to like the post if it works out for you.

I also picked up this as he had free shipping with 2 orders so it was almost free..

If I bought a knock off grille...wouldn’t brag about it on Tacoma world...probably be a violation of the Lanham Act.

While you're definitely not wrong, I've never heard of a consumer being targeted for it. They would likely go after the supplier.

 

Yeah... looks just like the grill on my truck. The pic is odd. Read the reviews. I think maybe they do that with the main pic to stay off Toyota's shit list as much as possible. Just a guess.

 

For sure. In reality though so long as they're still selling a boat load of Tacomas every month, I think everyone involved is probably happy.

 

I was actually surprised with how ferocious that double sided tape is. I gave each one a pretty hard tug and was impressed I couldn't easily pull them off. But like you I did put globs of gorilla glue on the back of each post just in case.

I'm just envious of how cheap the 3rd gen grills are. Even the knock off 2nd gen grills cost more than I'd like to pay.

 

They're probably all made by the same child. I've handled both and they're both shitty. I have the shittiest on my truck

I bought mine from the dealer. It was $300 plus dollars. Looking at the pics here, if I was to do it all over again I would get one from ebay. They look exactly the same. Is just a piece of plastic that only adds looks to the truck.

Just yesterday I was messing around with my taco and tried taking off the factory plate holder and was going to mount my plate right to the bumper. So I drilled out my plate using the funky plastic plate holder as a template and installed using those bolts / bolt holes. Turned out it didn't look that great so I put it back the way it was...
