I’d doing the HVAC control swap in my 2011 for the controls out of a 2015. The 2015 HVAC control is a metallic gloss black and I have a Scosche double din kit for a 2015 that color matches perfect but nothing I do will make it sit flush at the top.

Am I doing something wrong or are the mounting points so slightly different that it won’t fit? Anyone have experience with this?

Yes I read the instructions. The Metra kit I had in there fit pretty good and the mounting points between the 2011 Metra and 2015 Scosche all look the same.

    Any guidance?

The dash is slightly different, 2005-11 is one style and 2012-15 is another. You can take out the dash bezel that has air vents and cut it a little bit. There’s a few posts somewhere on here about it. Or just order a dash bezel from an 2012-15

Pics? Im wanting to do the same thing, simply because the 12-15 dash kit looks better. Id like to see how bad it is before attempting.

It doesn’t work. Doesn’t fit right, looks like shit IMO. I went to the flat black dash, looks better.

The Scosche dash kit is what I am talking about. It will fit the same as that radio swap because the mounting points are all the same.

I tried everything except fabricating my own brackets. It doesn’t work.

Well fuck... Ice swapped out to the glossy black 12-15 ac controls, and wanted a glossy block radio bezel to match.... Fuckin hell. Guess ill have to go with the non glossy black for my 09. That fucking sucks

I did the same. I got the gloss black controls and the scosche dash kit to match but the dash kit just wouldn’t fit right. I plan to swap the gloss black controls for the flat black as well. It the truck is just sitting with nothing right now because I haven’t driven it in a long time.

@09doublecab83 do you happen to have the part number for the AC control bezel ? i'm trying to do the black double din kit but my lower AC surrounding bezel is silver. I don't care if it's gloss or not, but wondered if there was a way to order the OEM instead of just plastidipping or painting the original ?
Outlined in blue is the piece i'm trying to change. Thanks in advance!
