We had seamless gutters installed a few years ago, haven’t had to clean leaves or maple seeds from the gutters after that.

    Good morning. :pccoffee:

Had visions of Sam Kinison screaming MOVE! this morning.

    nov 18.jpg

My thermometer shows -2 but supposed to warm up nicely to the low 20's today

The VA has moved to Cerner recently for their Electronic Health Record (EHR) across the board. It has reminders in it for patients in the Registration and Scheduling modules. If you configure it. We dumped Cerner and switched to Epic, final roll out was Az. and Fl. early last month took us about 4 years to do all the locations. Cerner is a POS. And that does not stand for the Point Of Service module. Epic owns the market share for EHR at this point and many have switched from Meditech, GE, McKesson, and Cerner to Epic. Unless your the government then lets buy yesterday's technology at today's prices... However at least they are finally using the same platform across the board. About time.

If you come help do mine? With all the leaves here I have to do mine once a year, at least. Gutter guards help a little. Just a little considering I had a small tree growing out of the back side gutter late this summer :anonymous: Last dig out for me is the week of Thanksgiving and they are usually a bit solid from the cold and require a trowel to get out. Well them suckers are staying in until next Spring not getting on the roof with 4" of snow on it. And they aren't coming out without a chisel and hammer now LOL.

I need gutters, put new roof and facia on 5 years ago. I like not having them until it rains.

They make them on-site so they are truly custom fit to your roof.

Happy to hear you are on the mend. Stay healthy.

Keep seeing ads for them..... might consider it after I get my roof replaced - which will be in the next year or so..... or sooner, if necessary.

Yeah, there nice. Being in the trades my whole life, I have a few connections. This will be the way I go, just trying to decide if I want to hang them myself. The thought of my wife on the other end of a 32’ gutter has me thinking I will pay for the installation. We have a single story ranch, easy to work on. The guy I know can do 2-3 houses a day, he still wants $500.00 for installation. He is one of the best in the area, full warranty.

Have someone else do it. They have insurance. They know all tricks to do it right. If they ruin a 32 ft section of gutter you don't pay for it.

I actually looked for that last night , since I reset the Bota for winter then the damn trees across the street dumped all their leaves in the front yard and need to mulch them up. I do not really want to change the tires back and put the deck back on .

This part of the aging process I am getting use to. Pay others to do what I used to do. My wife agrees.

Yeah hence I am paying a plumber to come out and straighten out the water spigots , and still feeling out sparky's for pricing on a few more above my level of willingness to screw with electrical projects lol

I am working my before retirement list of projects to be done Roof in spring, Heating / Gas piping for change over to propane in the fall then windows and reinsulate . All will be done before I retire then it will be someone else's problem when they need to be redone .

When I got my gun safe I have movers deliver it. It cost $75.00. I just thought how much would it cost me if I did it myself and I got hurt, or the person helping.

Some of you guys might cringe, especially @Tacoma Mike . I don’t service my vehicles anymore, I have a trusted mechanic. I used to fire up the heater in the garage, put the Carharts on, and dig in. I still service my yard equipment, but that doesn’t drip road salt all over me.

    I hear ya.
I sort of dodged the bullet with 3 injuries that were all repaired, most recently the back, and try to be careful.
In my head i can still do everything, but now I have to step back and survey the situation first.
