Here’s my 2018 SR5 DCSB 4x2. So far still stock, just some derp and stickers because +5hp!! I plan on doing bigger things to it later, but in the near future just small mods on the list.

 

2nd Generation Silver Streak Mica is better.

I bought this touch up paint online for my 2016 SSM. It’s too light. I think it would match the lighter silver of the 2nd gen Tacoma.

Have any of you guys bought matching touch up paint for your 3rd gen SSM? If so what did you get and where did you get it? (Besides the dealer)

 

I got mine at the dealership. They got the paint code off my pickup. Its a close match

Did you keep the stock springs? I have an SR5 and I’m thinking about going Bilstein 5100’s all around. Im not looking for any huge lift, just level and a softer ride.

 

Accepted an offer on this beauty today. I'm 90% sure ill be pulling the trigger on a Silver 2018 this weekend so I'm excited to join the SSM club!
I absolutely love my MGM when it's clean but it's a hassle to keep it clean.
Have big plans for the new SSM!

2 inch lift in the front 1 inch in the back. Bilstein 5100s on highest setting up front. 1 inch toytec blocks in the back with 5100s. Leveled it out nicely and performs well offroad.Running 285/75/16s with a little bit of rubbing post scs ray10 installation.( this picture was stock wheels with no rubbing) I will be going with 255/85/16 next go around with tires. Lift setup cost a little over 300 for the shocks and 80 or so for the blocks

 

That's the truth. Mine is filthy with dust and ash living close to the recent fires in CA. From more than 10ft away you'd never know it.

 

You will not get a softer ride by changing shocks and/or springs to ome/bilstein. SR5 suspension is already really soft. When I switched to 5100 and 2885, the ride got firmer, there was less front end dip when braking, and there was less body roll. I prefer it way more this way.
