My 2018 Tacoma the clutch pedal is too light I notice that the most when I get in my First gen 2000 Tacoma and let the clutch out on that sometimes getting off to a jerky start... tires going "Errk" I'm going "shit hope nobody noticed that" ......

    I sped read this thread.
It has to do with something about getting stiff when your sister pees. Does that sound right?

That's interesting, didn't think of that. The first 300 miles I was constantly smelling what smelled like burning plastic while driving and every time I parked and got out, I could smell the clutch burning. I still smell it today. I have it scheduled to go back in this Tuesday. I've had the truck for a week now and even made a comment in my "new owner" thread.

To everyone else, this wasn't an intended troll thread, was asking a serious question.

another possibility is your coil return spring at the pedal. many owners get the squeaking and groaning sounds there and it's from friction in the spring coil. if that friction is building, even if you don't have the sound yet, it may be grabby. after i greased up that coil return spring enough to get the sound cured, the friction and ease of pedal movement loosened up a lot. the solution is disk brake grease applied to the spring. best way is get a wad of it on your fingers wearing a latex/nitrile glove and work it into the spring coil inside & outside. your spring is likely dry from the factory.

All jokes aside, on your next day off I would schedule an appointment to have this issue looked at, which looks like you have done. If you don’t, at 60,003 miles a throwout bearing, pressure plate, or hydraulic issue will fail and it’s not covered under warranty.
I haven’t driven a 3rd gen 6mt, but all the other Tacoma’s I’ve owned/driven, the clutch pedal was smooth and very easy.

Sorry for the detail @Trevorr, it was the not missing leg day at the gym. Lol

Oh, and I don’t have a sister. I do have a corn/wheat fed brother in Montana, railroad worker that doesn’t miss leg day. He a big boy...if anyone is still interested. :D
