I was doing some off roading earlier today and I got caught in a rut. Long story short I ripped off my left rear bumper cap. Upon further review I noticed that not only did I rip the parking senor off but I also ripped another connector off that was clipped into the rear cap. Now my heater doesn’t even turn on no A/C bsm and parking assist doesn’t come on. And the outside temp display on my cluster just says “E” I can only assume that the harness that I ripped had to do with all of those things. My question is does anyone have a diagram that shows the wiring running into the rear bumper? Or does anyone know if there is a fuse I might have blown?

Little odd that ripping off my bumper affected my electronics but I can only assume the harness I ripped has something to do with it

These fuses can be found inside cabin or under the hood?

Look at your fuse diagram and start checking any fuses related to the problems you’re having.

This is the connector that is located in the inside of the bumper cap. Anyone know what it might control

Check your fuses with a light or meter. Probably thrones next to the obd port. Make sure u check both sides of the fuse. Probably popped an ecm fuse. I just did this a few weeks ago.

If the harness goes into the tailgate it could be back up camera or power tailgate lock. I’m betting you blew a fuse when the wires were pulled apart.

found out the bsm sensor is what I ripped off my bumper. go figures since my bsm stopped working. doesn't explain the climate controls not working though. I checked the fuses but none looked popped. ill have to check tomorrow when there is some light out. thanks for all the help

Yup, that battery pack looking thing it's plugged into is actually your BSM sensor itself. I don't see how doing that would affect the other things.

just took a look at the fuses again and it looks like I did end up blowing a fuse. 10a IG1 No2. swapped it with a new one and all my heater ac controls came back to life. any insight as to why it might have popped? this fuse controls the climate controls?

Adding onto this thread without making a new one. I’m trying to figure out the size of these female pin connectors. I’ve seen .093 and .062 anyone know what the sizing might be?

When the cap was pulled off forcefully some wires probably touched together , got a short, blew a fuse. Tape the wires off replace the fuse and everything should work again (aside from the safety sensors )

Pins are almost never stamped with a part number -- find the part number for the connector (more likely to get a PN off of a connector than a pin) and you should be able to find what pins to use for the connector

so I was able to track down a replacement terminals and wiring thanks to BMotorsports.com. after getting everything soldered and wrapped back up I copied the pfd file of the wiring diagram for the bsm and got them matched up. but I have no response from the bsm when in press the button in the cab. my only inclination is that the sensor is not getting power.(why the button doesn't light up when I click it)borrowing a multimeter I wanted to check and make sure and sure enough no reading from the connector. long story short where can I go from here? trace the wires to the relay? fuses all look un-popped. im horrible with this stuff as well as explaining it lol. so and suggestions would be great thanks!
