Sitting here drinking coffee, enjoying the quiet before the storm.

A.C. hasn't kicked on for 2 days, my wallet is happy.

I hate it, once construction is done I'm getting those gutters. So in 2 yeats or so.
I used the hose attachment in the past that is a long pole with a curve on the end and a high pressure thingy. Works well but you get a shower of muck no matter where you stand.

They started with lay offs a few years back and realized the cheaper replacements weren't staying.

It turned us into an entitled bunch of old farts.

No, same here. I do the electrical, force of habit, but I don't even change the oil anymore. I will crawl under and figure out what has to be done and then buy the part and take it to the shop.

 

Yea but I still don’t look 98 like you do. I can’t imagine the gallons of junk that I took a bath in over my career.

I pretty much quit doing my own services (except the Harleys) years ago. Just dealing with the mess and not really being set up for it kinda sucks. If I had a pit or a lift it would be a whole lot easier because I don't roll around on the ground very easy anymore.

Good morning. Chatting with my daughter-in-law last night, she and the baby are going to come over for the day Tuesday. They are over in San Diego at her parents for a couple weeks. She's on maternity leave and my son is on the border. I have to work but my wife will be off and I can scoot out early from work a couple hours to see them.

 

A creeper and a sled dog would fix that

 

I have a creeper. It allows me to roll around to find something to grab onto that's tall enough that I can pull myself off the creeper, onto the garage floor and then onto my feet....fuckin knees are done.

Get a tree stand harness and a cheap winch. Yank you right up off the floor

Yesterday I had to walk off a mesa, down across small wash and back up....the LE Ranger was heckling me, told him to go down the road and fuck himself....

I'll do you one better, haven't cut my yard in about 2 years now. Live on the side of a ravine and it is steep except for the septic field out back. My knees and ankle can't handle it anymore so pay a guy $40 a pop. He charges $35 but to me it is worth $40. Draw the line at snow removal driveway is steep too but only in one direction- up. Then again winter isn't even officially here. Yet.

I call that pondering the situation. I seem to do a lot more pondering lately than I used to.

Mine too. And last 6 months or so wrists and fingers also but hoping they get that figured out. Couple of months ago was down on my back working on something and went to grab something to pull myself up. My wrists and hands wouldn't let me. My knees wouldn't work. At first I was a bit scared then I started laughing thinking of that commercial help I've fallen and can't get up. Laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. I think the tears were because I was laughing so hard anyhow. My side of the story and I'm sticking to it.
