I think next time i need to buy one I'm probably going to look for something with a gel top or something of the like to help with the heat during warmer months.

FYi., memory foam changes with the temperature. Softer in the heat, harder in the cold. I camp in the winter so I went with a latex one. YMMV

I was going to say the same... the gel/memory foam ones are like a concrete slab in cold weather

I’ve been sleeping on This folding one for a couple years. After my accident in April I slept on it for about a month. My regular bed hurt too much.
It suits my needs for truck camping. The only downside is the amount of space it takes up.

Milliard Tri Folding Mattress, with Ultra Soft Removable Cover and Non-Slip Bottom, (Single 75" x 25") https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W67PJ4M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_44y8BbK41H5C4

I also have one of these-I use it when space in the truck is tight.

And one of these-I use this backpacking. It’s s amazingly warm and light. I’ve slept on snow in zero degrees and it’s super comfy.
    https://www.rei.com/product/881575/therm-a-rest-neoair-xtherm-sleeping-pad

And one of these-I don’t really use this one anymore. It’s like 20 years old.

Thank you for all these options and input. Unfortunately none really fit my needs. 2 people and a dog sleep in the bed so It basically has to be as wide as the truck bed.

Something like this might work. The twin is 38" wide.

I have this one from Amazon. When it's ~20F it's not concrete but have a pit under you and restore very slowly after you go away. I bought it in addition to factory mattress which was sold with RTT. I like this set, but for cold weather I'd like to use additional mat, something like regular camping pad for backpacking(solid foam or inflatable).

The cold made mine pretty firm until my body heat softened it. Took more effort to roll it up.

I just fold my bedding in half toward the cab when I pack up. Then slide the gear in behind it. So as long as I can fold her, were good

I'm bed storage challenged. I can do that if I can store my stuff on the roof, which I should be able to do with a rack on the cab and cap. Then all I have to keep in the bed is my backpack and ice chest.

Ever consider making a platform? Not having the wheel wells makes for a considerable extra amount of space. And then get storage that fits under.

Cooler goes on top of the platform and it comes out when you sleep.

Having the extra cap height helps with headroom. Cab-high caps get pretty cramped when you raise the floor. I thought about doing a 2/3 platform to leave some space to sit up. Haven't done the measurements yet. Might not be doable.

Yeah I was concerned about that the first time we went out for winter camping. The coldest night we had was around17°f- 20°f. The mattress was a brick at first but after a couple minutes our body heat softened it right up.
