Did you get the prerunner or the race leaf springs with the kit? The picture they have on the website has the race springs which are setup to maintain a taller ride height with a much heavier load. I was told the race springs will support a fuel cell, dual spares, rolacated trans/oil cooler, extra driveshaft, extra axles, etc (500-1000 lbs). The prerunner is only 200-300lbs. If you have the prerunner leafs and have it loaded up they will start to flatten out and the shackle will rotate back further.

EDIT* I guess the pics on the website are custom as mentioned above, but they do have 2 different leaf packs depending on the load out.

I don't know what springs they are, but I'd guess that they are the prerunner springs. The Camburg website doesn't mention different spring types. I bought the kit second hand from @Tacomoto23, so he may know.

When I took the pictures that I posted, the stock leaf springs, shocks, and mounts were in the bed of the truck. With all that removed, the position didn't change. Right now the bed is empty. Not even a spare. Whenever I get the fiberglass besides on, my Bestop and hi-lift will get remounted in the bed. Eventually, I want to get a high clearance bumper with a swingout, so that will add some weight.

Interesting. I ordered the kit a couple weeks ago through SDHQ and they mentioned the leaf spring options. I got the race springs since I have a little more weight than stock so I guess I will see when it shows up.

Gotcha. My springs are labelled Deaver 3703-E30 Toyota.

Yeah, those were the Deaver E-30 Springs and were ordered as a “prerunner” leaf pack, not the HD. I wouldn’t worry about the position of the shackle too much. What found out was, the leaf springs are long as well as that shackle. So the only way it’s going to sit is with that shackle slightly angled back. If the shackle design was smaller, it would compemsate for the longer spring length and make it more centered.

The axle perches are definitely something to be sorted out.

    Holy fuck!

My buddy and I just spent 6 hours getting the driver side bedside on. It's not completely done, but I'd say 80% or more. There are 2 more bolts that I need to put in behind the tail light, fit the tail light, rivet in the gas door and filler neck holder, and adjust how the filler neck is sitting in the holder in the bedside. I broke the secondary charcoal filter trying to get the stock hose off, so I just took it off completely and ran a new hose from the main charcoal filter to the pipe on the fill neck. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow if it isn't raining.

Also, I received my new rear 3rd member from ECGS, so hopefully, next weekend that will be going in. I'm just waiting on the gasket and crush washers that I ordered. Specs on the 3rd member are 4.88 gears and an Eaton Detroit Truetrac geared limited slip. I debated an air locker because I have an OBA setup to install eventually, but decided the LSD would be more useful if my forced induction dreams come true.

Put about 190 miles on the truck on Friday driving down to Richmond to talk to a few shops about fixing IPOR's screwups and going to Fredericksburg to pick up some parts from the dealership.

Drove up to the shop on base this morning to install the ECGS 3rd member and change the oil. I drove around base after the install to do the initial 20 minute heating cycle and cooldown. I'm heading home now and decided to give it another cooldown after another 20 minutes of driving. Heading out for the 40 minutes back to the house.

Bummer to hear things never worked out with IPOR. What’s on the list to get corrected at this point?

The spring perches, axle shock mount tabs, and bump stops need redone. When the shocks are setup correctly, I'll need limit straps, and I still want a brace to run between the towers in the bed. Redoing the exhaust reroute and longer brake lines to eliminate the spacer they used would be nice but not high priority.

Basically, everything they did except the frame boxing. :bananadead:

I left a million word review on Google. https://goo.gl/maps/5pfY4wSjmfo

As promised earlier. Here's some pictures of the driver side bedside.

    20181118_151326.jpg

Still need to work on fitting the tail light, but hasn't been an issue driving around without it so far. Still have the passenger side tail and the 3rd brake light.

    20181118_151330.jpg

    The front brace.

    20181118_151337.jpg

    The rear brace.

    20181118_151340.jpg

Bed/Body gap. It's actually hitting the slider back where the kickout is. I may pull the sliders for the time being.

    20181118_151348.jpg

The filler neck. I had to pull some of the bend out of the metal vent tube to alleviate some of the pull down at the plastic fitting on the tank. I need to look at where the bracket used to be. Where the zip ties are. My buddy that was helping me did that while the bed was still shifted back/lifted because the bracket wouldn't go on. I need to see how/if the bracket fits now that the bed is where it should be.

    20181118_151402.jpg

Back at the tailgate. All the bolts here for the tailgate hardware and in the sheet metal bed channel bolt in nuts on the stock bedside, so new nuts/washers were needed. It's a mix of M6 and M8. It's all stainless and nylock nuts.

Thanks. Right now my buddy is planning on coming down again this Sunday to see if we can't get the passenger side fender on and finish up some of the work on the driver side. I was going to work on the driver side tail light yesterday but being lazy and doing nothing won out.

Maybe I need to follow suit with a review as well. Damn I was hoping it wasn’t that bad but wow the next guy will have to mess with all of it from the sounds of it. Did you ever talk with ipor before moving on?

Yea man doing glass can always be frustrating as to me it’s mostly a level of compromise with it since nothing is perfect about it. I did the exact same with mysupport brackets on the bedsides which seem to be fine for the ride although I might need to beef mine up in time after seeing the desert.

I sent an email directly to Lance, so there would be a 'paper' trail, but I never received any response. I didn't try calling or going to the shop. I submitted the supporting data that the bank asked for on Friday for my CC disputes.

Nice man how is that process going with the bank? It’s too late for me, but would be good to know for the future.

So far so good with the bank. They wanted a quote for the repair to confirm my claims. I also sent them copies of the original quote and invoices and the email that I sent to Lance.

Haha I bet sooner or later he has to come forward if the bank is going to snatch 4K. Bummer as I predicted this could happen, but should be fun to see what they do.

Maybe I'll hear from IPOR, but I kind of doubt it. I'm not disputing the entire amount of the charges. Just the portions that need to be redone. About $2500.

Yea true at this point they would know they are being evaluated off any communication from here on out. 2500 out of 4K is still a 62% loss for them although that is what it will take to make it right I’m sure.
