Anyone else noticing alot of chips to the paint and windshield? I know I live in AZ and this is a norm here, but holy hell, a year in and my windshield is peppered with chips and now looking closer at my paint alot there too. Still happy with my truck, not a bitching thread just wondering if everyone else is experiencing the same with their 3rd gen, I know Toyota paint is thin, but seems thinner and the glass more chip worthy than my 2nd gens were. Happy Sunday!

Yep, my hood has 5 or so chips in it. She turned a year old 2 weeks ago. My windshield is doing fine though.

Mine is clean after 15 months and 26k...believe or not following too closely is the primary cause.

I’m not a tailgater. Usually one car between me and next person. Never had much of an issue in NJ with chips and drove same way. I think the primary cause is the fact I live in a rock filled desert more than following distance.

Lack of mandatory mud flaps is the cause, that and Tacomas are known for cracks and chips due to the angle of the window.

Yep I had heard the angle piece and I believe the new acoustic glass is softer they use in new cars.

I had an accord that I recently sold, I cleaned n detailed it. I was like I'ma take a razor blade to the windshield to clean all this overspray off. It wasn't overspray, it was thousands of tiny rock chips. I'll take that over shoveling snow and salted roads though!

Yep, same thing, was detailing truck, took a good look at the windshield and was like holy hell. Like a teenager's face with acne.
