Went out for doe this am as we get 4 days to hunt doe with gun and after sun rise 5 showed and was waiting for them to move in to lane then a spike come busting out and chases them all over the place. Then he comes out of the Woods and walks passed my stand at about 10 yds. We have a 3 point rule in my zone in Florida. Was a fun Time watching them.

I took out all the nose stuff too. My skull would’ve gotten distroyed from a pressure washer since I had to put a .22 in its head. Also don’t have a place to allow deer flesh to get blown off and rot. Way I did it was super easy with great results

got it done this morning. cull 7 point. Seriously impressed with the Deer Season XP out of the 308. 110 yard shot and he dropped in his tracks. Did ruin a shoulder though. Happy to have one in the cooler.

I hear ya... I’m wrapping up 23 days of vacation and i hunted every morning and every evening with the exception of 1 morning. 20 days of bow hunting and 3 days of shotgun hunting. I’m going back to work tomorrow and taking a few days off from hunting to let things settle down. Bow hunting goes till January 15th give or take a day and we’ll have another 4 day shotgun season. I hunted all but 1.5 to 2 hours a day,8-10 hours on stand. Results so far, no deer. I seen many deer but the bigger ones I was after didn’t start showing them selves in daylight until the last week. I had some shooters “150 inch plus” in the area, but no shots and didn’t see any shooters during gun season.

I just got started today in Idaho. Checked all the camera's and got some interesting pics including what I think is a lynx, a coyote, tons of turkey, and a lot of deer. 2 out of 3 camera's were dead from taking thousands of pictures. Going to move two of them tomorrow and hoping for snow soon.

I just can't do that anymore. If I'm hunting an area where I can glass and move, and maybe get a short nap, I'll hunt all day. If it's a stand, 3hrs is about all I can take. I know I'm missing some opportunity, but I just can't sit still that long anymore. For whitetail stands, I usually hunt 3hrs in the morning and 2-3hrs in the evening, otherwise I've got to get up and stretch my legs.

If you’re not using lithium batteries in your cameras you should. I get 2 yrs out of them and my cameras are out for about 7-8 months a year. I get mine at Sam’s club for about a dollar a piece.

I'll give it a shot. It's just been duracells so far. One cam had 7600 pictures on it since late July and ran out of power one week ago. I just looked into it and Stealth Cam says lithium is ok but no on rechargeables.

Taking a break from the woods for a couple days . Don’t want to burn out my stand . Although it usually produces a good buck .Real nasty thick thorny stuff . 5 does in it yesterday and a spike sniffing around .

It is tough . But the first 2 days of rifle I always stay all day . Since my area is really thick and nasty a lot of deer head that way once things get going. Doe hiding from buck and that’s where the buck wind up . Plus here in NY I have other people all over the place on the same small hill . I hear four wheelers on the other side only 400-800 yards from me . People from NYC too blasting away at everything . I wish I could buy my own land .Im 56 and walk every where I go and an other guy in his 20s takes a 4 wheeler 150 yards to his stand . Mature deer will not stand for that crap .

Well I was out on my private land
To find a guy cutting through on a mountain bike saying gps is a lying. I confronted him about private property and escorted him out, he jumped two Feild fences to be there. Rode right down my lane
