Green leaf produce is starting to be harvested as we speak so all the good local stuff is just hitting the stores. I like to cut brussel sprout in half and throw those it hot bacon grease or wilt cabbage.

Just water, I'm a lightweight anymore :anonymous: When I don't have to go to work the next day might be a different story.

And brain dead enough as it is LOL. Added some ice to my glass out of habit then went out to start the coals. After I dumped them turned around to get a drink of water and the glass was frozen pretty much solid.

I was going to suggest that. Seems like most people around here are going with metal roofs now. One big benefit is snow just slides off. Or so they say...

It does they are used a lot you do need to put ice breakers and snow dams over doors and such or run the risk of catching a load of snow or ice one day. I like the standing seam as in my opinion and experience with simple over lap metal you will eventually get capillary action leakage. IE water being sucked in between the seams do to the temperature differences created by lapping the metal over , differential heating and cooling based on sun position and shade trees and so on.

Yes I am aware standing seam is more labor intensive there is also snap lock standing seam which is slightly cheaper , hey they at least have a machine to crimp the seams versus:

    1871-Metal-Roofing-Standing-Seam-Foot-Seamer-Burritt-Weedsfort-NY-Roof-Tool-401611976073-10.jpg

    They offer it around here in 24 ( .025"), 26 (.0187) , 29 ( .0140") gauge Likely go with 26 and a bonded color for no chalking.

Builder grade = cheapest stuff out there!!!! Cheap @$$ builder

Planning on going the dimensional shingle.... although depends on $$$ Like Cypher says, next time won't be my issue..... or just won't care.... I know the color I want though and it ain't black!!

I like the looks of them.... not sure of the $$ though. One house on my way to work just got some and I really like them.

Time for bed. My seasonal help starts tomorrow so I gotta get him up tp speed. His truck has dead batteries so I'm taking him to the field with me to help out and go over what's happening, what's going to happen and where we want to be by the end of the season. Won't take all day but I need someone to water the road and it'll be a good easy day for him.

One of the facebook pages I hang out in.... one of the ladies lives on the 2nd floor of an apartment building.... she works out @ 5:00 am and laughs when it bothers her down stairs neighbors. When someone told her to adjust her time, she just posted a  face. Others just said you have to expect it, living in an apartment building

I was wondering WHY the seamless gutters stay clean. I have Honeylocus and those little effing leaves settle in the gutters and just stay there. Gutter guards don’t help.

Had a friend put 30 year shingles on his house when he built it. They failed in 12. When he tried to get the warranty enforced he found they were no longer in business. From what I’ve heard it’s common in the industry.
