That camper was long passed

Ok guys found the one. Some minor things that need to get fixed and as well a new paint job but overall pretty happy with it.

I bought an aluminum camper top for my 01 Tacoma when I bought it new. Still have the camper top, no leaks, no problems. Very light and sturdy.

Now you should paint your truck white to match. :D

You think that’s a good choice? Will the truck de-value ?! I’ll be having painting this coming up February but torn between keeping it stock black or doing it completely different and doing it white.

black or white will show the dirt so pick the lesser of two evils on cost :)

Looks like you got a great deal. Had a cab height on my 98, could barely sit up in bed when camping. Have a high back topper similar to yours on my 00 Tacoma XC 4x4,much better choice. Still happy with it 18 years later and barely broken in at 157,000 miles.

You can rattlecan it with Duplicolor paint from Autozone, matched pretty good on a Civic I own.

Thanks. That’s what I had in mind! In the meantime before I save up for the paint job on both the truck and camper I was thinking of maybe plasti dipping the shell black to match a bit better, but not sure yet.

Don't have any personal experience with plastidip but the spoiler I painted with Duplicolor on our 09 Civic is still looking good 9 years later. Prep is key, watch a couple youtube videos. Is it professional, No but looks good to me and it only cost me a couple $9 rattle cans.

Reviving this thread because that's my rig! I miss that setup. I sold that shell for this:
But now we've settled down at a house with a garage. I built a wheeled platform to store the camper in the garage apart from a few times per year I'll install it for trips. It's a bit extreme for my daily driver haha.

Here comes the point to my post: I found a shell on a 2001 Nissan Frontier for cheap. In your experience trying different shells on, did you try one that fits the '01 Frontier? If so, how did it fit? It's a bit over an hour away so I'd like to know it fits before driving out.

I think the bed sizes are the same, but I'm not positive and the seller is an old lady who won't measure it..

Here's the shell I'm interested in:
    Thanks in advance!
