I once smoked my old Exedy clutch so hard it actually did smoke out the trans breather and it still worked for a while haha. But I like my Marlin Clutch for sure and ACT clutches are worth a look when the time comes as well. I'm having a custom clutch made for the Z and I know the guy I'm using would be happy to make a custom unit for a truck too, he basically can build it however you want it. I told him on the Z it needs to hold over 500ftlb of torque at the flywheel and still be streetable and he said no problem. My buddy is running that exact same clutch I asked for in his Z and you could drive it in traffic even it's so good.

I wasn’t stuck, per say. I just couldn’t get over that last incline because I have a potato as a transmission. Haha.

Sorta a mix of the two really, the 4cyl with a manual is money though

No, the 4 cylinder is a good engine. The auto transmission is what holds it back. @Speedytech7 can attest to this.

After having as much experience as I do now, I would pick 4cyl every time as long as an auto wasn't required for some reason, even then you can fix this with a better final drive ratio or boost. Hell even a different TC stall rate. The thing boosts better, has way more aftermarket support, is way easier and cheaper to work on, leaves you with more engine bay room. I see no reason to buy the V6 in these trucks when the power difference is so small for what are both considered low power engines.

Yeah remember, that's when I was saying to just hook up to his brush guard cause his tow hook was on backwards. I said we'll just yank that brush guard off for him cause he won't do it himself. Right before Adrian tugged him out, Tyler asked me what we tied onto. I said uh, nothing, don't worry. Lol

Ya I remember now...that made me sweat because it gave me flashbacks to earlier this year when my buddy went to recover a guy stuck in an old ranger stuck on Miller Jeep Trail and the guy had looped the strap around his radiator cross member...one good tug and 5 seconds later all his coolant was on the trail, lol.
