Cabela’s Black Friday ad is showing 500 round boxes on sale. These are my local prices - yours may vary.

So my 1911 got an early Christmas present courtesy of a Cabelas BF gift card...

...and the Pachmayr grip is a perfect fit. Indexes perfectly for my hands. Can’t wait for my next range day!

    1911, nuff said.

Love them, any size, caliber, or configuration. I have owned every model Glock available to me. I have shot them all. Just can't like them.

Of course I know guys that will say the exact opposite.

Comes down to what works for you.

Not sure about the remington, I abandoned them years ago when their quality went to hell. How are the remy 1911s?

This R1 Enhanced is built like a Swiss watch. Everything fits together tightly and it shoots beautifully. The only thing I didn’t like was the grip - there was no forward checkering and the wood checkering was a bit sharp. The sights are easy, it breaks down exactly like you’d expect it to, and the trigger is crisp.

I love it. Next range day can’t come soon enough.

I have yet to shoot one. I have held several but have been reluctant due to the mentioned issues. Hopefully they are over that. Any issues on the finish? Bought one of the 870 express a couple years ago and it would start surface rust in a week. Only gun in safe doing it. Took it back and swapped it. Replacement did same thing as well as my sons 700 he had purchased. That did it for me.

Function wise I have never had an issue with a remy!

The finish is clean, no corrosion. I’ve never had a handgun rust - what cleaning lubricants are you using?
