Ship to San Diego .. then truck to Baltimore? Doesn’t seem cost effective.

I need tracking on this thing :annoyed:

Edit - she’s here. Now I just need to find my way to Baltimore to get her.

Getting the truck on Tuesday. Short of the holidays and OU game, looking forward to getting out in upstate area for now. Friends with land going to take me out in Preston Co, but I know there’s more than that.

Gotta get her inspected and she’ll be good to go :D

Is there anything I should cover up / be worried about? My tint is legal but I know every station can be different. Wheels are under the fenders, and aux lights require a switch to be turned on. Figure if I pass Hawaii safety, I’ll have no issues here. Never had a truck back home before, so I have no clue.

I'm sure WV is a little bit different than KY, but not by much I'd imagine. You should be fine.

When I was in WV I had to have a “modified” inspection because of my suspension. Same inspection, bigger sticker, cost $7 more. You should be fine.

Mostly worried about them stripping tint. I’m legal but don’t have some silly certification sticker between the glass and film. We’ll see, or I’ll find a guy that knows a guy

They didn't have any problem with my tint. Apparently the suspension was the driving factor on the "modified" inspection. Like I said, it was a slightly bigger sticker in the same spot on the windshield and cost a few bucks more.

Yeah I’ve seen those monstrosities. I don’t figure I’ll have any issues, just always worry before the big test haha

I got boned once in morgantown on a perfectly fine car. They ripped drums off the back of my car, disconnected an exhaust bracket to ‘find’ a leak, and then ripped my old sticker off. Not a dealer, either.

    College me was (more) naive.

The sad thing is that the way the system is set up you can't argue with them, and they know it. Hopefully you get a shop that's honest. Unfortunately, for what they charge (mandated by the State) they're losing money. Good luck, hopefully you'll make out alright.

Come to Huntington for inspection. They let heroin and meth walk the streets here, surely a modded taco can be pushed through the system ;)

I haven’t been to Huntington since 2002.. and it was bad back then.

Love being back. Pic from her parents’ place the other day in Preston Co. It’s like going to winter wonderland after the Coopers Rock exit.

So far, no account worth mentioning of the white stuff. Women, small children, and all around wieners may say otherwise.
If there's not at least 1/4" that lasts more than 3 hours on the ground, it didn't snow.

She’s back.. with fun economy. Really second guessing buying a set of Duratracs again now and going with a more conventional AT now haha

Ouch! What size are the Duratracs?

I recently got a cap, not a perfect for a taco, think it was for a Ranger actually, and it took a few away from me. Add the 255/85 KM2s, I get about 15 or so. 4 banger, MT, 4.10 stock gearing.

They’re 285/75/16. Truck is also a MT on stock gearing, newest TSB that dealers won’t load because the TSB is worded wrong but fixes the power issues down low.

The entire drive back was on 70 and 68, so it was up and down through the hills constantly. Tons of rowing to keep that thing moving.

How you like your KM2s in the snow and rain? I’ve only read they’re miserable.
