Where do the mid bass drivers go? In a separate speaker enclosure or are they supposed to take the place of the front door units?

 

they take place of the 6x9 in the front door, i have very nice birch wood adapters for the speakers made for the tacoma by mr. marv (the audio vendor on this forum)
