I haven’t run the Philips +100s personally, but they should give you a well rounded balance of quality, performance and bulb life. I’ve compared the GE +130 to Osram +100s and there is a non-trivial difference with the 130s being noticeably brighter, but the brighter bulbs will pay for the performance in bulb life.

Was hoping to prime the ge +130s, surprised I could not find them on Amazon.

Typically Europe has the best bulbs first. You can get the GE +120s under their North American GE Nighthawk +120 label at a premium. Powerbulbs I listed earlier ships quick though, and use the coupon code on the home page and get free shipping with no tax.

Thanks for all the awesome tips. I used a razor knife to easily trim the plastic on the adapter harness. Installation will be super simple now. Pairing H9 low beams with my KC Gravity G4 LED fogs should really light the way.

I love these. Actually prefer them over the GE +130 and it’s what I’m running in my lows - but that’s just my preference in color. The Philips are slightly yellower than the GEs which are a bit whiter. I’m essentially blind with astigmatism though which, even with my lenses, makes me a bit more sensitive to glare and reflection of the white republican tones.

    GEs are brighter though

I wish I had tried these in my Tacoma before installing the Morimoto HIDs. The Morimoto were great but I bet these would have solved the problem. The stock bulbs that came with my OR were shit.

I think a very common misconception is that the stock headlights are terrible, not realizing it is actually the stock bulbs that are terrible. OEMs typically install long life bulbs that will last 5-10 years so the bulbs don’t burn out too soon which would annoy most consumers on a new vehicle purchase. But long life is through low output. Significant gains can be made by just using a quality non-coated performance bulb.

Yea, no doubt. When I put the Philips Xtremevision bulbs in my 4Runner a week ago, it wasn’t a huge change. Pretty much the same color and they throw a little wider and longer. Looks a great bulb set for $30.

Got my 8000lumen LEDs off Amazon for 80$ two years ago, 32000 miles and no issues. Love them but LEDs have very low reflectiveness in the rain. All other circumstances they kick ass though

Just ordered a pair of GE Megalight Ultra +130 after reading through this thread. I've had some LEDs in since last winter but like as mentioned above the throw just isn't there. Especially under inclement weather conditions which is when one really counts on their lighting. Looking forward to putting the +130s in

I also ordered a set of the GE Megalight Ultra +130 H11 bulbs. Just to be sure, these are plug and play right? No modification needed or any changes to stock?

Hey OP @FourTimesFour , check out the link in my signature. I did an extensive review on the Xenon Depot H11 Extreme Pro LEDs. With a minor adjustment to correct the height and increase the throw, for the same amount Headlight Revolution wants for a single set of LEDs you can do the Low/High beams and will be completely satisfied.

Unfortunately no amount of up adjustment can account for loss of focus and loss of distance projection. When a performance stock halogen has 2x the output of a high powered LED and the halogen has vastly superior distance projection, it is a bit of a hard sell.

I love this thread. I was so close to ordering LEDs.

Can I use the GE Megalight Ultra +130 H11 bulbs on my high beams and fog lights as well?
