    A few.
I'm excited about the new glass, should be here tomorrow. I find the two lenses I use the most are my 10-20 wide and the 18-55, so I figured I'd replace the kit 18-55mm with a higher quality crop sensor lens. (Until I can afford a full frame body)

No driveway, sorry. I’m in a gated community. Campers aren’t allowed to be parked inside, sadly. There is a neighborhood behind my gated area with plenty of free street parking though!

Could I add a suggestion? If you are planning on moving to a FF start buying the FF glass. I know that doesn't work on the wide end on a crop camera but on the other end you'll already have the glass for the body when you buy it and it will work on your crop camera.

Reading about it and experience are two different things.

I could sit you down and let you read about my embroidery machine for a week solid and you still wouldn't be able to use it. You need to be able to look at something and diagnose it immediately to make it work. Could be as simple as turning a knob or as involved as taking it apart to see why it isn't doing something. You'll get the knowledge from a book but nothing beats experience and being able to look at something and see what's wrong right now.

When I did my film stuff in the darkroom you had to look at a photo and see what was wrong with the color package you selected to make that photo. You learned by experience to see yellow in gray colors and knew if it was too much, you actually added yellow to get rid of it. Back then you used cyan, magenta and yellow to make a photo. Now we use red, blue and green with digital.

That's how I was introduced to photography. Dark rooms and making a camera out of an oatmeal canister. Back in HS photographers class. Good times

You can get a quality dslr for cheap. Less than a new phone. A used nikon d3300 is 200ish online if you do some digging.

Made a pinhole camera out of 1/4" plywood and developed everything myself with 4x5 film. Made it as a science fair project and got 1st place with it in HS. Loved working in B&W darkroom. Color and Cibachrome was kind of a pain in the ass. At least in B&W you could see with the safelight. Color safelights basically just exposed the paper and you ended up working in the dark instead. At least I did get to use a color developing machine so I didn't have to deal with the roller (tube) machine and dumping chemicals in and out of it. I did enjoy developing different kinds of film though. Kinda neat how you could use developer for a different kind of film to change the way the film developed.

Yeah. Back in the days when you needed a whole bunch of stuff to develop your own pictures. Was a whole different story before these digital cameras and photoshop.

Here is another pic I took with the D3300.

Again I am a novice. So it doesn't take much to get a decent (In my opinion) pic with a cheap dslr.

I sold my D7000 with 18-105, 55-300 and battery grip with 2 batteries and charger for $800 about 3 years ago. It goes for even less now. Hell you can buy D300's cheap now. I've even seen a few D3's go cheap as hell lately. You don't have to have the most up to date camera to take great photo's.

This is true. I have been looking. The holidays are not so good a time to be buying a camera just to compete on a truck forum.

@Irongrave offered his Canon 20D body to me. I'll probably take him up on the offer, just have to find someone who is looking to get rid of their Canon kit lenses and snag those for cheap.
