I feel like I was reading more in more
Than one place, if I come across it elsewhere I will link it here!

I know I would not be happy if I got more lift than advertised due to the concern for other issues above two inches

    Awesome!

I agree 100%! I dont want to go higher then 2" in the front either. I already have my 1.5" aal and if its lifts higher then 2" in the front ill have that stupid "bro" look....I would not be happy at all. Its is so true that all tacomas are individually different from each other....ie: all other tacos i have measured have more then a 3/4 rake from rear to front. My taco has only a 1/4 rake from rear to front..... so anything above 2" in front would make my current aal obsolete as it would not give enough lift to not have the "bro" look:facepalm:Im keeping my fingers crossed!

I’m getting close to just going with 5100’s and stock coils so I only get the amount I want.. not my favourite plan but for me it might be the best option.

    Everything is an estimate.

I got 2.25” of lift with 5100s at .85 and stock coils.

I later changed those to 1.75, and went to 2.5” of lift.

Later still I went to OME coils with OME shocks, and had a big improvement in ride quality over either of the above setups.

Not every truck or spring is identical in every way, so use them as ballparks only. All good vendors will say the same.

I had OME on my last Tacoma and would not consider it again for the front. Leaf pack yes, but that is it.

    That’s fine.

I was just saying to your comment about “only get the amount I want.”

That is not necessarily possible given a lot of factors that decide your end result.

It does NOT lift the rear, but comes with shocks that are made for a "lifted" rear from 0-2". You will need to buy your rear lift ie: blocks, aal, 3-aal, leaf pack etc.

Well i just went ahead and ordered the eibach fronts with toytec boss rears, and a 1.5 block for now and 3 degree axle shims. for the price i was provided up here in canada i am pleased with the purchase. it comes with a diff drop but i don't intend to install that right away. not sure it will actually do me any good. will post results once things are on in a couple weeks.

Lift has arrived. I received both 1.5 rear blocks and the toytec AAL in the box! undecided as to which parts i will use for the rear. The rear boss shocks measure 25 inches extended from centre of the eye to centre of the bushings. Toytec would kindly not give me the compressed length when i spoke with them, kinda odd as ppl need to know what they are working with. they did specify that longer bump stops are not needed. anyway i didn't feel like trying to compress the shock and hold it while attempting to measure. a local shop that always did good work on my jeep will install things tmrw. more to come

soooo, lift is on! used the toytec aal instead of the block, haven't measured height gain yet, will do that tmrw along with getting a pic. the ride is much better. i don't notice the sloppy feeling of side to side motion all over like with the stock stuff, basically a firmer feel all around which i am used to from my previous vehicles with proper suspension. i removed the factory rear axle shims and replaced them with the toytec 3 degree shims, so far so good! also i didn't install the diff drop that comes with the toytec kit.

took some measurements of the front, looks like i ended up very close to 2 inches of lift, could be a little over or under as i measured in my snowy driveway and it isn't perfectly level.

one thing i want to add is the TSS seems to work as it did before the lift, i haven't had it yell at me to brake yet and i have the lane departure turned off at all times but when i have the truck on cruise it still slows and and returns to the set speed as it did before the lift.

I originally put 5100’s on all 4 corners with stock coils. I set the coils on the middle notch. It stiffened the ride which was fine but whenever I would hit a small pot hole or a sewer cap it was too stiff, kind of jarring. Eight months ago I upgraded the coils to Eibach pro lift coils. I like the ride a ton better on and off road. Softened it up a little bit and I also like the fact that I didn’t need to stretch the coils to achieve a lift. Also added toytec’s mini leaf pack to give my truck some rack. Here’s a pic right after I replaced the coils and added the leaf pack. The first pic is with 265’s. Second pic is with 285’s. I had to do some very minor plastic trimming with the 285’s. Also replaced the stock uca’s with spc uca’s.

Toytec's BOSS kit is rebranded Eibach shocks. Toytec threads the shock body for the fronts. BOSS is a good kit, IMO. I never was a big fan of 5100's, not strong enough for heavy duty offroad.

AWESOME Taco my man! Looks great! To me she sits perfectly!

    Thanks for the updates @bzzr2

After all this time I actually had the eibach kit delivered and then returned it....wah, wah. I've actually decided to go a different route even though I was dead set on the Eibach lift....

After riding on a Kings set up taco, I will buy once cry once as they say....the eibach pro level kit and the aal would just be another $500 that I would eventually take off when I get my Kings 2.5's next summer. Im gonna ride the hell out of these $10 stock shocks and just keep having them replaced under warranty every time I wheel! Haha, Ive blown one EVERYTIME! I have a set of yellow/ blues (front and rear) sitting in the garage JIC. Way more money, but man there is a huge difference. Since I'm keeping this taco 'til she dies.....I'm putting the pretty blue's on....yummy.

Really do love the way your truck ended up, perfect rake! Nice!

Thanks! I'm really glad it still has some rake. I am liking the way it is driving so far. I prefer the ride with the Eibachs over the OMEs that were on my last Tacoma. Hope the kings are worth the money! Are you going to do upper control arms and extended length kings?
