Negative, 4x2s (mine) don't come with crawl, 4x4 OR do however (sorry forgot about that) but again, it's not something that would break a deal not having since other trucks don't have that feature anyway. Just know what your doing and you'll be ok.

Yeah I don’t do any heavy off-roading, just really light off-roading. I bought the truck for more of bed usage for stuff around the house like yard work and not having to pay delivery for stuff. AC doesn’t bother me as its enough room for what I need. Thought about putting on the pro grill, pro wheels, side steps, and a flag holder but want to hold out alittle to see if I’m truly in love with the truck to make sure I’m going to buy it out at the end or get a different one. Thank you for all your help and input, I truly appreciate it.

You bought a truck that fits your needs and there are plenty of opportunities to beef it up if that's your thing. Enjoy!

There’s quite a bit more than that from a sport to an off-road, but if don’t offroad a lot then it won’t really make a difference. My 2012 sport got me where I wanted to go and through things I didn’t think it could, and it’s more than enough for most people. I went with the off-road this time because I’m getting more into off-roading and I wanted the extra features like the locker, electronic brake booster, ATRAC, crawl control and MTS. From an off-road to a pro is just shocks, and you can add those after the fact, so honestly I don’t see the appeal of the pro now that you can get a moonroof and leather in the Off-road, and they keep letting you get those Pro colors in the next mode year.

Yeah I don’t offroad as I bought the truck for the bed as stated above. So I don’t truly think I need MTS or crawl.

In all honesty I probably won’t either, the locker I know I will use as some places I go get muddy and are uphill. These trucks are super capable even stock as long as it’s a 4x4. I bought this truck so in the future as I travel more and do more off-roading I will already have a very capable vehicle.

The Dart was a great car. Had it for 3 years. It Handled better than any car I have ever driven with great gas mileage. It had great interior as well. Nice and posh as they say. But I needed a truck. I wash our trucks on the weekends to make extra money to pay down our bills....hence the credit score bump....and needed to haul my pressure washer and other equipment. And thanks!

Thanks! We are working hard to get it back up where it used to be. I wash our trucks on the weekends to pay down our bills. That’s why I needed a truck, to carry my pressure washer and other equipment.

I just test drove the new Ranger at the San Jose car demo last weekend and really like it...the transmission/power is definitely slightly better than the Taco (they had the Lariat model and the leather is very nice).

However, I still prefer the overall look on the Taco and after owning 1st gen 4Runner and Prerunner, I'm biased towards the Taco.

Thinking of just doing a private sale on my X5 and then doing a 2 year lease on a 2019 Taco OR 4x4. My thinking being by then, the Ranger would be 2nd year and most of the 1st year quirks should have been worked out by then and maybe by 2021, the Taco might be heading for a rehaul anyways.

If I like it, I can always just buy the Taco at of the lease anyways. Only prob is being stuck with another car payment for the next 2-4 years.

Currently leasing mine. First new vehicle I've ever had and I'm loving it. I'm not worried about mileage, worst case scenerio I buy it out at the end or closer to the end of the lease put it up for a lease take over / sale. It's a 2018 Cement Gray Limited Double Cab Shortbed.

Right now, the plan is to buy it out. That all may change come here in the future depending on the child situation, if I do change I'll be getting a Platinum Tundra.

I ended up leasing mine. I had actually been without a car for a couple years since did not really need one. Wife has her car and I live 1/4 mile from my office. Had saved up 10k towards a new car. The plan was to get a used sports coupe like a Genesis Coupe R Spec or 370z etc. Then I decided I was going to hike the AZ Trail and realized my need to get into the backcountry was greater than my need to go fast around corners.

I looked at used and quickly realized it was not much more to go new. Not 100% sure owning a pickup for the first time in 20 years would be a long term fit I decided to go lease. Tier 1+ credit and some negotiation got me a good lease on a 2018 DCSB OR with Premium and Tech packs. 2k out of pocket $380+tax for 3/36 not awful on a $41k truck. Dealer also paid my first two payments and tossed in the T4R Pro wheels. So far I love the truck and when lease comes up not sure if I will just buy it out on a 3yr note + cash from my savings, or use the equity from selling it private party + my cash savings and just get a new one. Figured if I can squeeze 5-6k equity out of it That would be almost enough to just buy a new one for around the same total out of pocket as me using my cash to buy out the lease. That is a big stretch so most likely I will just buy it out.

After reading this it sounds like I am getting boned majorly... The dealer is picking up a '19 DCSB TRDOR stick for me from another dealer. The sticker is $39k and I am getting it for $37k with a 3/36 lease for $525. Credit is in the mid 700s and trading in a vehicle where I am $1100 underwater. I haven't taken delivery of it yet so I have some more negotiating time...

Absolutely that is a horrible deal. Are they asking for money down?

It should be about 200 cheaper. Even rolling that negative equity in you’re only adding ~30 a month to payment.

I had a dealer hit me at $500+ for a lease payment on the very same set up I ended up buying. I laughed at him(literally replied to his email with LOLOLOLOLOL). He said no one would beat his offer. Less than 24 hours later I was driving off the lot for over $100 a month less from a different dealer, and had another equal offer on the table.

You roughly should be around $340-$350+ TTL and your $1100 in negative equity
