really it drives noticeably better? were you the one saying you're previous LBJs only had a few miles on them?

I should probably check mine...had OEM ones put in under warranty a couple years ago but the way I use my truck I should probably be better about look at them every now and again. I do check the torque on the bolts pretty regularly but I don't really check them for play.

I checked them a few thousand miles ago and they didn't have any play, but I wheeled a lot this summer. I've never replaced them in the 45K miles that I've owned the truck :anonymous:

Yup, steering is nice and tight. There used to be like an inch deadzone in the steering wheel and that's gone. The truck drives where I point it and I don't have to make constant corrections to drive in a straight line. I am ashamed I let them get so bad :boink:

I got it in about 2 hours total. One side took 30 mins and then I spent way too long fighting the cotter pin on the other side before ripping it off on both sides and using a big breaker to twist the castle nut off

I know I'll probably get shat upon, but I went with the Moog greasable ones. They were nice and made by 555. I am almost convinced people who have issues with them didn't read the instructions saying to grease them after installation, which also requires buying zerks separately because they're not included for whatever reason.

Also, no more random clunking. Always though that was all the random shit in the bed since it was difficult to pinpoint on the front end :homer:

Advance has a pack of metric zerks for like $4, there are 45 deg and 90 deg ones included so you can make it easier to grease them while they are installed :)

They were $60 each at the advance store. They are like $40 ea online but I didn't plan ahead and needed them ASAP because I'm supposed to be on the road to Moab tomorrow.

RMN25 for 25 percent off anything at Advance Auto if you order online

The Moog ones I put on had a plug that I removed for the zerk. The ones I took off didn't at all and weren't marked at all either lol

So I’m using the A340E TC in my A340F. Originally, the transmission shop recommended that I do not reuse this TC due to the stall speed difference of 300-400 RPM versus the A340F TC. What king of difference does it make that I’m using the A340E TC?

Take a pic. My truck is identical to yours and it has a few oil leaks in the engine bay.

Horrible. It’s 172 in San Francisco. I think Chico is still around 550-575.

Remember normal is around 30-40, and the AQI scale caps at 500.
