I never liked the GoPro software. Twas very limited with what you could do the last time I tried to use it. That was a few years ago though. Vegas suits my needs just fine with the little I do.

I have whatever the new Adobe creative cloud stuff is as well. I got it uhh through resources, ya lets go with that. I haven't played around with Premiere Pro enough to know how to use it. I really like FCP, it's quite easy to use. But I do use lightroom and PS

 

Yeah those underwater housings aren't cheap. I've got one of the Sony setups for underwater video when we go diving. Always wanted one for my DSLR also.

Your problem is not being creative. I have light pollution and city all around me. Best thing I have is a beach with a million tourists

Ooops.. sorry ! I’m old. Plus I’m thinking all the parents who have beach houses that their kids (adult children living in the basement) take pictures from.. lol

The thing is you live there. You're used to seeing everything every day and it doesn't seem special to you. I used to be the same way, thinking I needed to go somewhere to find something cool to shoot. You have to step back and look at the details. Maybe it's not the whole scene but a piece of it you need to be looking at.

Now they require windows 10 to use their software so that's a no go for what 75% of windows users who don't use Windows 10?

 

That generator shot is a nitemare with the lighting also. I changed the white balance to make the lighting white instead of orange. All kinds of lighting coming from all directions.

 

Get some neutral density lenses and you can do a longer exposure like that during the daytime to blue the water. That was actually taken handheld and supported between my hands and the railings on that bridge. That was taken around noon.
