I have had mine for a few weeks now. No snow here and first real off-road trip is in a few weeks but when it comes to wet roads... Holy crap are these tires amazing!

Glad you are liking them. I love mine! They look so good (255/85-16). They seem to handle much better and are quieter than my previous ATPs (265/75-16).

255/85's are really the perfect size for 2nd gen Tacomas. I was on 265/75 as well and upgrading to 255/85 was my preference, but neither DTD or Discount Tire had them in stock when I decided to make the purchase. Lost about 2-3 MPGs going up to 285's :burnrubber:

Yeah, I ordered mine about 2-3 weeks in advance of my lift. And really, being next to 2nd gens with 285s... I like both. But part of me really liked that 255 is less common.

Beefy. And interesting approach on the side mirrors. Do you interchange them often or is that the look you're going for?

The drivers side mirror opens up because I tow a small camp trailer. I found just the drivers on eBay . It would be nice to find the passengers side to have them match , but the one on the drivers side is really helpful and collapses when not towing.plus it allows me to keep the power adjust feature on the mirror.

That's cool. They look identical to my ProEFX tow mirrors minus the LED turn signals.

    I had 265/75-16 Cooper ATPs

    I'd say I am down about 2mpg

I never had stock tires. I put on 265/75-16 shortly after I bought the truck.

Going from 265/75-16 ATPs to 255/85-16 ST Maxx I saw about a 2mpg drop.

I do drive my truck hard. So my mpg has never been great.

once you move up from stock to 255/80R17 your MPG readout will be off about 7%. If you add 7% to your total tank miles and then calculate gallons used you should find it closer. I've managed to get 20mpg with these tires with OV tune and premium and summer gas.
