steering wheel cover splitting

    Did a quick search but didn't find anything on this- the steering wheel cover on my '03 is splitting up at the top. I'll try to post some photos tomorrow.

    Put one of those cheesy wheel covers on it but it looks like crap. Has anyone had any success repairing a split/crack in their steering wheel, like with an RTV silicon-type product or something similar?

    No Problem, it actually gets better over time.

    It's "oak". Very closely matches the dash and steering wheel. I don't know why the top of it looks so orange in the photo.
