No, run away fast. You can get a Pro for that price. Buy without all the dealer added BS and add it yourself for much cheaper.

    Bumping this up again.

Got a offer on a 2019 OR4x4 crew cab shortbed Cavalry Blue with Navi but stock in every way (no side steps). Was quoted $34, 600. YAY or nay? Should I try to negotiate this down further or looks decent?
On the specs sheet, I did notice $700 of extra options like Sonar parking, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert ..not sure if this is already part of the Toyota Sense that the dealer is sneaking in as an "extra"????

    Thanks.

Sonar and cross traffic are the Tech package which adds ~700. Good price, go get yourself a truck and enjoy.

Interesting thread, wanted to put my piece in since I was just truck shopping a few weeks ago. I havn't purchased anything yet,but this is what a Priority dealer quoted me.

2019 TRD 4x4 ORSB,Cement with premium/tech packages, fresh off the truck. No other add ons included,$1k shipping fees...Deducted from the price was military. Came out to about $43k OTD. Monthly payment, even with $10k down payment..still was about $750 lol

Unless VA's sales tax rate is like 12%.....PLEASE< PLEASE< PLEASE......shop this...even out of state if need be. That is very much on the high side. Full MSRP on that truck is $41-42K.

Motivation comes in many forms, some we can't even guess at.

About 10 years ago I was a Toyota salesman (not for long but that's another thread)
All of a sudden, my sales manager was approving all deals I brought to him. Some were very low sales prices, numbers he would have turned down a month prior and sent me back to my desk to get more out of the buyer.

It turns out, the Northeast Region had a contest for the sales managers- the one with the highest sales numbers would win a Caribbean vacation for their family. Guess what? My manager won the contest.

You can get a great deal if you have a dealership around you that participates in the Costco Auto Buying Program. I just picked up a 19 TRD Sport for 2250 below invoice, as well as getting window tinting thrown in. The Costco price was 1500 below and then the rebate was also added in to make it 2250 total below.

Oh yeah,I laughed at him and said that was FAR too high. I told him exactly what I wanted and what I felt comfortable with. He even brought the sales manager in to try and get me to take that price. I walked out to let them marinate in things lol I just recently found a dealership in Waldorf,MD that has peaked my attention. I've been texting the sales rep for a few days now,we'll see where that goes

Can you share the details of your deal? I find it hard to believe you got $2250 below invoice. So you’re talking $5,000+ off the sticker...it would be like $5,600 off the one I’m looking at with tech Prem and tonneau. Sure you don’t mean $2,250 off the sticker price?

    My price was below invoice.
If you are a member of Costco you can go online to the website and select the auto buying program and fill in the information for the particular type of vehicle you are interested in and they will send your information to the nearest dealership that participates. You will also be forwarded the dealer contact information. I had to enter the Tundra to get a local dealership to show up, I was told the Tacoma wasn't part of the program but the dealership said they would honor the program on any of the Tacoma's. The program price was $1500 below invoice, then was also entitled to the current rebate of $750 off for a combined total of $2250 below invoice. It is a set price no negotiating. If you are not a member of Costco it is worth it to get the membership just to get the price reduction, I have done it on my last 3 vehicle thru them. You might have to look a ways out for a participating dealership as they all do not participate, dealers participate relying on volume of sales for this program. Cost also send you a 50% off coupon (up to $200) for parts, acc, service after the sale, Sams Club has a similar program.

I’m agonizing over buying a particular Tacoma. The closest dealer to me has exactly the car I want
(2019 OR Access cab) but it seems it is the ONLY one in Quicksand for 500 miles. I want that color and no other color. MSRP is $36823 and I can get it for $34,365 which is a $2435 difference. This is the invoice price and before TTL. Dealer has no handling fee.

Should I just buy it since it is exactly what I want and nobody else for 500 miles around had it?
