Sucks the gas tank skid didn't come powder coated... probably why it was cheaper

My tank is FUBAR too. Thoughts on the LROR skid? How does it mount?

Ill be pulling the gas tank skid off to paint it a little later, but yea would be more expensive if it was powder coated.

Getting the low range skid, why did you swap the tank though? No attempt to straighten it out?

I was getting check engine light and on impact there was fuel that came out the top.
I haven’t found a breake in the tank by the plastic valve was broken, had to replace it too. And as far as straighting the tank I don’t think I would be able to with the way it was damaged. It would most likely rip because of how far it was dented in.

Yep, I looked to see if it was possible to stick a small jack inside but there was no room.
Also that dent made me loose about 4 1/2 gallons out of my 18.

Thanks and nice build you got there too.
I like my sway always. Howevery they are not like most. I rebuilt them and re-valued the shins to a softer ride. I also have 700lb springs which make it perfect when I don’t have my sway bar connected. When I’ll be rebuilding them next time I’m thinking to shorten up one of the spacers to get a little more travel out of the ifs. Otherwise they work perfect for me.

Is there a spacer you can just remove to make them "extended" travel? Ive read that with the kings u can just take the spacer out.

Yes and it becomes a mid travel. For long travel you’ll need to swap out a longer shaft.

Made some progress last night. Got off work around 6 and worked on the truck until 11pm.
Got the AllPro rock sliders installed and painted. Also painted the gas tank skid plate. I’ll have to get more pictures of the sliders but for now here is what went down last night.

Do you have a video or photos of how the switchback halos work? You pretty much built retrofits how I want to - simple, no silly RGB crap.

How did you attach the angel eyes to the shrouds?

I haven’t wired them up on my truck just yet but here are a few photos of them with the halos on when I just finished buildeing them.

@JasonLee I completely miss read last part of your comment.
I attached them using a very thin metal wire. should hold it in place best.
and Im probably not going to wire the switch backs into my turn signal but instead make it to where I can run the ambers or the white as DLR and being able to switch color from inside the cab. this part is still in progress.
