What's the point of that power socket in the back of TRD models if you can't use it?

I tired to plug in a small vacuum and it would start for 2 secs and then shut off. Does it really pull too many amps....what can I actually use?? lol

Well how come a simple vacuum failed. The truck was just idling. Should I have had someone rev it up???

 

the vacuum has a small motor that probably pulls like 4-4.5 amps the plug in the back is only good for like 3 amps (400watts) i am not what it would be good for that is not a lot of power. i would suggest buying a bigger inverter and then taping into that.

 

probably not the coffee maker will have a heating element that will pull more then the truck can handle

 

I can run a small 4 cup coffee maker with mine, it takes a while but it works.

 

Also, don't forget to push the button to engage 400w... otherwise it will be on 100w. However yes, it's mostly useless for a lot of things. My little shop vac won't run off it either (thought it'd be sweet for doing a full car wash/interior detail but NOOOOoooooo)

You can always upgrade the inverter...

I ran a small air compressor worked fine

 

I tried a vacuum, didn't work. But it did charge my phone, perfect for campsites and the such that dont have power.

 

i use mine mostly for plugging in a work light when outside at night. works well for parties and other random stuff out in the woods, especially skinning a deer

 

I turn off all elec stuff when I use it. Mine won't go to 400w if the a/c is on. I hooked up a small shop vac and it ran, but slow. Just enough to suck corn seed out of a planter.

Where is the inverter? How do you get to it? I have a 750 I would like to use if it will fit.
