I just noticed (when I was looking to see if the AC condensate hose was kinked up under the Glove compartment) a small black (knob/plug ?) for lack of a better description on the passenger side floor right next to the kick plate - it is round with 3 square holes in a triangle pattern, probably 3/4" in diameter and about the same high -

    Never noticed it before -

Pic posted a few threads down -

I am pretty sure I know which piece you are talking about. It's just a plastic screw that holds on the side kick panel. I will see if I can find a picture.

It's kind of a plastic bolt that helps hold the kick panel in place.

To remove the kick panel, you have to remove the door sill plate, and then unscrew (lefty loosey) the black "bolt".
