What's the general consensus for shock oil weight on a crawler? I think my shocks are completely empty

 

I’ve heard you and tundra2play talk about this oriely light bar. Is that the name or actually a bar from oreileys that’s small enough to work?

Good deal on the lights up front. I wanna check out your battery tray Saturday. May just build mine after seeing it.

 

I’m still using 30wt. I saw a while back where @Zac of all trades was trying out 40 or 45, can’t remember what I saw.

 

If our hubs are interchangeable I have 2 after I put the brass on. I’ll bring them in case you need them.

 

They're small 12v light bars from the auto parts store. Supposed to be some kinda accent light. I think they're like $17 for a pair. Only problem is they're 12v so you gotta run on 3 cell.
I only used half of the aluminum sheet so I can give you the other piece and my shitty cardboard template, if you like

Lighter oils in the winter, heavier in the summer

 

Hit up @Tundra2Play ... he has just about every combo of oil weight there is!

Also you can play with the stiffness by adding or removing some of the shock oil. If you are removing oil, just stick the edge of a paper towel into the chamber to remove minimal amounts for fine tuning.

 

Glad to see people making moves! Replaced my winch line last night with some 50lb fishing line. We’ll see how it goes!

Mine is all back together and working, and I'm ready to test it out the changes. I should get off work early tomorrow around 2 or so and would be free to go crawling afterward.

 

I work tomorrow all day but free fri-sun. I need to meet up with @Zac of all trades so let me know if youre crawling any

Also packed my axles with marine grease to help keep it a bit cleaner in there....







Added some OReilly light bars so Slaughter can run night trails!

 

Did you get the square LED's from O'Reilly's too? I think those may be a better option for under the flat bed on my Honcho.

 

Yeah, they’re oreillys as well. I think they were like $13, so a little cheaper than the bats too.

That sensor wire is nice on the HW!! Makes a lot more sense over the push in connector.

 

yeah that is one of the selling point of this combo.

 

Whos crawling tomorrow? Im on the fence, on the back end of a cold so not sure

 

@Tundra2Play and I should be at White Settlement around 9:30. It sounds like they already have gates and a course set up.
