It's definitely still a beta therefore I won't buy it.

Oh good, just checked the status again and it went from almost 2gs to 0 and started over. *Deep Breaths Deep Breaths*

PS, the game is 47.166GB according to the download bar...

I think you’re being over dramatic. I’m like level 14 and don’t think I’ve encountered 478 enemies in the wasteland let alone mole rats. IMO there is a lack of enemies in the game unless your doing an event. I’m still not seeing all these bugs everyone else is claiming. Sure there are a few things but compared to past fallout games it seems like nothing at all to me. The guns breaking are pretty annoying. Especially using it as a melee weapon. I know if I needed to bash my Glock over a few heads it would hold up just fine.

My gripes are: Fast traveling costing caps. Needing food and water and worrying about disease are getting to the point where they are annoying. I just want to roam around, find shit, kill people/things, do quests and explore. Not build a camp/fort, or have to worry about the effects of hunger or dehydration. What will they add next? Having to relieve yourself? I never played RDR2 but heard you gotta like care for your horse and crap, if that’s true it sounds like the same kind crap here taking care of yourself.

Maybe this survival game is too “real” which makes it boring because real life is boring most of the time.

I hear GameStop will have the standard game for $40 and the special edition for $60. Sales starts at 8pm Wednesday.

there are perks for reducing thirst and hunger...or...you can go cannibal perk + lead belly + and the other perk for reducing rads from food. just kill things and eat them and drink water from any source w/o taking rads.

Why? Gotta plan well to survive. Your character is going from a vault-pampered existence to a complete shithole and is completely unprepared for life outside the Vault.

I can’t even enter level 2 computers or locks because now you need perks for crap I could care less about. I’d rather use perks to carry more items (especially now that you need to carry more water and food and medical supplies) and do more damage rather than use them on thirst and hunger. Seems like every time I drink and eat and play for 5 min I need more rations. Everything is tainted so I need tons of rad away which doesn’t seem super abundant.

I just think it takes away from the gameplay. The reason I enjoyed fallout so much was the story lines and being able to explore everything. I think having to worry so much about food and water takes away from that part of the gameplay.

this has been touted as a survival game from the get go. it wasn't made to be fallout 5.

One thing that is of very minor annoyance/amusement for me: considering how often I have to eat and drink, I should be a gun-toting fatass rolling up and down the hills.

(I'd have to roll down one hill to have enough momentum to make it up the next.)

chew bubblegum. slows hunger and thirst for 10 mins. the gum w/ the perk packs is a lesser buff. like 2 mins or something.

I didn't realize that till yesterday, but really all I'm doing is being light-hearted about the persistent food and thirst. I'm loving it so far.

One nice thing this game has done is forced me to use things that I either never used or used sparingly in other FO, like bubblegum or massive amounts of food.

Agree that the thirst / hunger thing is annoying. If you don’t find a campfire to cook food it spoils way too quickly. I want to explore, not play chef. The balance of these things are waaaaaay off. It’s okay to have these variables but not at this rate or speed. Make food spoil at a slower pace; thirst and hunger at about third the pace it is now. Having to use all my perks to counter these problems is jacked......IMO.

Picked up the game for $35 from green man gaming, DRM. “iseeitake” is my sn. I have no mic at the moment. Playing it on my 14” Razer at ultra setting, smooth. Might hook it up to a monitor or hdtv later.

I’ll ask it here since it’s on topic. When I’m in the game I get a pop up in the background. I hit alt+tab out of it but every 20-30mins it happens again. I don’t know what it is because when I switch to it, the game still shows. Anyone having this issues? It’s not the Bethesda launcher.

A pop up? No sir, that's definitely strange.

I disable some stuff, one was a backup for my NAS. No more interrupted background popup alert.

    What's a decent headset/mic combo?
