According to @96carboard, you dont need them. :cookiemonster:

Just carry around some crazy plywood with 1000x screws threw it, sounds reasonable.

Work a lot better than slippery plastic.
Of course based on your pictures, you weren't even using them for traction, you were using them for FLOTATION.

Airing down the tires would have helped a lot.

Had some wet snow I was sinking into where a drift started to warm up. Could have crawled over the hump with boards. Spread the weight out.

It was 100% traction. Tires spin soon as you take your foot off the break, you do not move. Is that not a traction issue?

Yes the truck had sunk while we ate lunch, but flotation? Really?

I was stuck in the snow, the boards got me unstuck in the snow, end of story.

You just keep telling yourself that slippery plastic isn't slippery.

Traction boards work just fine in snow. I’ve used them plenty of times. Some people just don’t know what they’re talking about.

Ya guys dont post, in response to a thread. It is just a pissing contest apparently.

Is this not a forum, for posting and debating idea's with others?

    WTF is going on?o_O

People can disagree. It is how people learn. :alien:

Should I just let people spread bad, false information on a forum that I really like learning the proper way to do things? :gossip:

As I read various threads on TW, I'm beginning to see a pattern emerge where certain individuals, for unknown reasons, feel the need to be adversarial and confrontational. Maybe it's a desperate cry for attention, stemming from their mama's not wiping their ass correctly as a child. Or maybe they know everything there is to know.....

Personally, I don't mind differing opinions and that is in part how we learn as long as it goes in a positive direction. I would suggest that we do less pissing and more sharing, teaching and learning......

And sometimes, some people don't play well with others.....

Not much of a debate. There was a question of if traction boards are effective in the snow. Then a bunch of people confirmed they do from experience.

Not sure how that qualifies as a pissing match.
