I recall reading that the OR folks are 30f/30r PSI. My Sport is 29f/29r. I know the wheel sizes are different (Sport 17" OR 16") but if 30/30 PSI is the case for the OR folks, why?

My guess is the OR feels "softer" on the street V the Sport, therefore, or can support higher PSI'S and feel the same as the Sport?

    Thoughts?

It all has to do with the world of "contact patch." What this means is, every tire has a contact patch with the road, measured in square inches. Let's say that the total contact patch is 80 in sq. If I have 30 psi air in my tire, multiply that by 80 sq in, do the math, cancel out inches and you get 2400 lb total that tire can support. Well, that's way too much but you also have to take sidewall roll into account, meaning you have to have enough air pressure for the tire to maintain its "shape" as you go down the road. So, on an OR 30 psi is required to maintain the correct contact patch (tread wear) and also maintain the tire's shape as it rolls. This is simply because of the difference in sidewall height.
    Hope this helps.

Different size and more importantly, different load rating.
Both tires will support 2,149 lbs at their respective recommended pressures.
