Question for you...hope I didn't miss it in this forum, but I have a 3rd gen OR set going on a 2nd gen access cab...the springs have dots them indicating passenger and drivers side...problem is that I don't know which dots mean what...Ive heard confusing answers some saying that they are non side specific and other saying they are...wondering if anyone here had any insight as to which dots go where

In case anyone is interested...I installed the 2017 TRD OR coilovers and rear struts in my 06 AC this week... It lifted the truck about an inch in the front and maybe a quarter of an inch in the back....my struts were so far gone that they wouldn't uncompress when I compressed them... For anyone wondering what the ride is like...The truck feels super planted on the road...Waaayyyy less body roll....I can take turns much faster...the rear end doesn't bounce around at all and it soaks up rough sections and railroad tracks like it should. have no vibrations of any kind.

So after posting on this a couple months ago, I won an ebay auction with 2019 TRD OR (5o miles on them) front coils/shocks, rear shocks/leafs, stock UCAs and u bolts for $102.50! Cost more to ship.

I run a topper and occationaly haul dirtbikes on trailers, add 400lbs in the winter, ect... would it be worth it to run a toytek AAL in the rear with the factory TRD stuff up front?

Also, I had recalled leafs in the rear, so I currently have the 4 pack in pretty good shape. Has/does anyone add a leaf from an old pack to make a "factory" 5 leaf pack?

I run a 2016 sport suspension with a .5 spacer up front and a single aal in the rear. My truck rarely sees the offroad and it rides fine. I think if i was going to do it again I would purchase a progressive aal for the rear but hey I got the same deal you are looking at on ebay and i had to drive an hour to get it.

I don't think adding a stock leaf to the leaf pack would get any addition lift besides the thickness of the leaf. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

What size rubber here? Do they look big just because of the sag and the black rims?

Is there an advantage to running them over stock?

235/85/16s (skinnys) they are a 31-31 ish inch tire (don't remember exactly which) and they are AWESOME. I don't really notice the "skinny" look, they handle terrific, awesome in snow, and they are comparably light (for a 10ply, which I wanted because folks in Maine like to grate dirt rds turning shale rock pieces into spear points)

Update: The 2017 OR setup is still awesome. It has settled a bit and I will be adding an Icon AAL to the rear to get the truck level...the sag is especially noticeable with the rack and RTT on the back. Ride is stiff, and sometimes feels a little firm but the "im gonna roll over in this turn" feeling is gone and its nice not bottoming out anymore.

Anyone use their second gen bilstein 5100 with third gen coils on their second gen Tacoma? what did you get with 0.85 and 1.75 setting. Can you preload third gen coils with the bilsteins on second gens?

Was this on a double cab or AC? I got a AC 15 SR5 4x4 and I’m thinking about doing this for the lift.

It was on my access cab. I still have it but am going to sell it. If your close to pa id take them off and give u a good deal on them. The ride was nice and it gives it a nice stance. I have a 2013 double cab and was gonna swap shocks but went with a trd baja kit with wheelers aal in back instead.
