Just thought I would throw this out there but me and my family could use some extra prayers during the next few days. My 94 year old grandmother has been on hospice for about 3 years and her nurse told us today that with the way her vitals are, she isn't expected to make it another 48 hours. My mom, sister and I have been taking care of her for the past 20 years. My sister and I are primary caretakers of both my mother and grandmother so this is quite the life altering event for us, especially my mom. My grandmother has lived with my mom for the 20 years and its basically all my mother has known is taking care of her mother. My mom is medically disabled school teacher so for her to take care of anyone, especially the care she has given my grandmother over these years is just astonishing considering her condition. Also, I lost my granddad on my dads side last year on black Friday so needless to say, I am not a huge fan of Thanksgiving. Anyway, any extra thoughts and prayers our way would be greatly appreciated for us.

I was pretty set on st maxx till I found these and I get more aggressive trend and I think they are 4-5lb lighter per tire and they were about $100 less per tire when I bought em...

 

While most people love the holidays, this is a great reminder that they are hard on so many others. We should be sensitive about that. I prayed for peace and comfort for you and your family and for no pain for your grandmother.

 

why are you stuck on cooper? the maxxis tires are cheaper, lighter, more aggressive.

Hmmm I don't think a more aggressive lighter tire will be much different than a heavier AT... plus it will be easier on your brakes and will accelerate a little better too

 

Even at 10% mpg (which I feel would be 2 times what if any difference occurred) to make up that ~$100 difference in tire cost will take you close to a year to break even on money... But I would still be willing to be you would actually get better mpg with the 8 ply

 

35s are the same as 32s.
