    Anyone in Oregon?
I'm driving up from CA on the 19th-24 of November.
Starting at winema NF -> Umpqua -> deschutes -> Mt hoot and then Portland.
Any suggestions/ anyone want to take me out on the river? I got the gear.

    Thanks

I would if I didn't have to work so damn much. Swing 1-3" buggers and leeches on the Deschutes right now (black and olive), the trout are fattening up for winter.

I’ve caught them on 1” - 3” simple black rabbit strips with a little body dubbing. Or you could try something like what I make called the “Bugger Leech”

Unless there is a hatch on, buggers are my go to for the first few casts. Olive, black, grizzly, all with a BH.

Yah this time of year there isn’t much hatching unless the heat stays into the evening and the big fish are hanging a little deeper at tailouts. Managed to get this redside, a few smaller ones, and a bull trout on last trip. All on leeches

Nice one. They have trouble passing up the steak when swung in front of their face!!

We’ll get some hatches when the sun is out in February. But they are so small the fish don’t seem to care about it.

Near Allentown PA. Closest place would be NY.

Wow nice fly. I've only fished dry and small nymphs in the sierras. I will get some of those and leeches.
What set up are you using, line and leader length etc?

    Wow gives me hope.

Initially I wanted to go for steelhead but I see it's not the best time period in November.

 Been awhile since I have posted in here. Hope everyone had a great time fishing this fall like me! Haha

Quick question! Where do you guys recommend for purchasing rod blanks online? I am finally getting a set up for chinook/steelhead.
