If that includes taxes, tags and fees then probably an ok deal. Depends on where you live and the tax rate. With some of the deals in this thread for slightly more you can probably get a brand new 2018 if you can find one.

It includes everything taxes tags and 2.5 hour delivery. It also comes with a cheap little bed cover and some decent running boards. I haggled a bit more and got them to $33,700. I feel like it’s solid for the area (upstate South Carolina).

Looking for a 19 TRD DoubleCab OR AT, w/ Tech and Premium.

I've only gone as far as requesting initial numbers, and haven't got to negotiating anything. The lowest initial price/including fees I've been offered is $37.7k.
I'm hoping for something in the $36.5k range before rebates. Does this seem doable?

$37.7k that includes TTL is a steal for '19 TRD OR DCSB with Tech and Premium.

Lowest I've been offered is $35.5k+TTL without Premium. I don't need Premium. I only need Tech. But I was hoping a nearby dealer can match so I don't have to drive far. The one at nearby dealer has those stupid add ons and the "I am losing $" excuse. Let's see as end of month closes in.

Sorry, I should have said this does not include TTL. This price just includes any other dealer fees and such that they'd throw in. I'm hoping to get $36.5k + TTL.

Edit: Then I got this response... "If we go $1000 below invoice plus fees and rebate we are at $38,303 plus taxes. Very good price for a 2019 Tacoma."

Those must be some pretty high fees they're tacking on.

Only fees I know are $80 DMV doc, $30 electronic filing and your state sales tax.

Wait till Black Friday and as end of month approaches.

    I am also waiting too.

Black Friday has nothing to do with dealer discounts. It’s a scam excuse to get people in to dealerships. End of month and end of year may give you a better price but not Black Friday.

I waited until the end of month last month and it did nothing. The 3 dealers I was negotiating with didn’t move any further to where I wanted to be.

I know prices are dependent on geographic area to some extent and amount of inventory of a particular model, and also an individual dealer’s numbers and need to make a certain target.

The only ‘good’ that came of it was even after the incentives from Toyota to the dealers on the 2018s, the price I was offered on a 2019 was only $1000 higher.
But my search and negotiation continues.

Same experience. I was talking to my neighbor who's a finance mgr at Honda and he said at this point, just wait it out for end Dec (last week or 29-31st). That's when all the dealers try to meet/break their yearly sales quotas so would be more willing to negotiate deals.

But the thing is these Tacos are selling exceptionally well and the dealers know it so they don't get too fixated on a single customer trying to rob them of the $$$$ profits.

If anything, next year might be a little different when Ford posts the new Ranger sales and how much they are (or not) pulling the sales away from the Tacos.

Yes. It depends on a lot of things. I actually sold Toyotas about 10 years ago after I retired from the P. D. (Only for a short time, like six months, since I didn’t like to lie to people like the managers wanted us to do.)

Well, one week the sales manager started okaying every deal I brought to him. Deals he would always say no to all along. I wondered why. It was because the region had a contest for all the sales managers and the one with the most deals would get a free Caribbean family vacation in January. You guessed it -My sales manager won.

I feel like Black Friday and this weekend in general might actually be a bad time to make a purchase. Naturally you're going to have an influx of people at dealerships, and someone who's really trying to get a deal will probably be a lower priority to a salesperson.

Haha, no. Almost $700 for tint, edge guards and nitrogen? Yeah, those probably cost the dealer less than $200 total. $700 admin fee is laughable too. WTF is "Market Value Selling Price"? That sure isn't MSRP. Must be some inflated price that they try to pass off as higher due to popularity? What's the actual Monroney sticker say the MSRP is?

I bought a 2018 TRD OR MT in cement with Tech and Premium package with a ton of options (tonneau, bed step, bed extender, TRD skid, roof rack, mud guards, bed mat, side steps/rails, TRD shifter, chrome tip (lol), door edge trim, etc). It was MSRP a little over $42k and I talked them down to $37k before taxes after hours of negotiating. Definitely not the one I wanted with all the options, but there were almost no cement OR in MT left in my area. I feel like that was a decent price considering the rarity of cement MT OR models. Maybe I'm wrong, but I pulled the trigger anyways.

That's the thing, don't go to a salesperson, go to the General Manager. I always go straight to the person who can actually give me the price I want without the back and forth bullshit.

Most places you try that, the manager will walk you over to a salesman and sit you down. The manager should be too busy with other duties. There doesn't have to be a running back and forth by the salesman to the manager, the manager will come and talk to you, but at the salesman's desk.

It's always worked for me. I bought my Tacoma a month ago and dealt with the GM only.

I don't doubt you. They usually won't do that because he should be too busy with other work. When that happens its usually a very small dealership.

I went into the dealership I used to work at with my Father in law and the sales manager spotted me and came over to greet me and assured me he would take care of us with a good deal (he did) but its a busy place and he assigned me a salesman but told him what deal to give me. Maybe he was busy, and maybe he wanted to throw this salesman a bone, like a $100 commission, IDK, I'm not naive, But he WAS busy.

P.S.- Rakuun, I see we joined here six days apart and my member number is exactly 600 higher than yours. So, if a hundred people a day sign up here, that's pretty impressive. CHEERS!

I'm still trying to buy a Tacoma. My problem is demand is too high around me and the sales people I talked to are lame. Some text/talk to you and then forget about you. I refuse to chase them. I went into one local dealership, thought we had a deal, even gave a deposit there, but pulled it back after they tried to screw me on my trade, which was a 2018 vehicle, not a heap.
Oh well, Saturday I'm trying one more dealership, not local, going for a finance deal without a trade. Maybe they'll be a little more hungry.

You are doing it the wrong way. Go online and get the email address for the internet/fleet manager for all of the dealerships within the distance you are willing to travel in order to make a purchase. Message each and every one of them with exactly what you are looking for. Tell them you are looking for THIS ONLY. No more, no less and you will buy from whoever gives you the best out the door price BEFORE any rebates etc. Let them compete with each other in order to get your business. Keep going until no one else will go lower. Oh and NEVER tell them you have a trade. If they ask, lie. They'll try to factor that in and fuck you. Only mention a trade after getting their lowest out the door price.

Do not step one foot onto a dealership until you've agreed to an out the door price by email. Do not allow them to add any extras in the finance office either. Keep telling them they already agreed to the quoted out the door price and you'll pay not a penny more.

No dealer (3 of them) would email me the window sticker even after two of them said they would. (I wanted this so I'd know where the starting point in negotiation was and to make sure there were no dealer added anything to the MSRP)
One dealer refused to talk ANY price by email or text and stood firm on that policy when I walked away.
One dealer and I agreed via email on a price plus tax and fees and still hasn't gotten back to me after I told them I'd only agree to taxes and a small DOC fee.

One of the 3 dealers I did talk to the sales manager by phone, but he only spoke in generalizations and sounded like an empty suit.

Maybe its because I only want an SR, or are all 3 salespeople morons?
