At what point should one look to replace their nitrochargers? I’m at 60k on them right now.

10k miles ago probably. Warranty on those are 3 year/35k, so I’d think around 50k is getting your money’s worth.

Hi guys, I need some help as a 1st time lift guy. Still learning so need some simplified advice.
I want to go with a simple 2-2.5" lift on my 3rd Gen Tacoma with Old Man Emu suspension.
Don't wanna mess around with settings or adjustments - simple. During the week I use truck as daily driver, weekend I'm out camping etc.
I plan on getting a light front low pro bumper at some point, on back a rack with roof top tent and gear in bed.
I guess this would be a medium OME on CruiserOutfitters.com but not familiar with any of the kits, model# or levels.
I want to lift my truck prior to getting new tires here soon. So I'll need to know what largest size tire I can go with the suspension I'm looking at.
Currently running P265/65/R17 on my DC TRD Sport 4X4.
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    -Joe

All of your answers are in previous pages of this thread. How much of it have you sifted through so far? OME 885/7's with Nitrochargers (you need to decide between firm or soft struts) and Dakar EL096R's. And you can go up to either of the following tire sizes for 17" rims without having to do a CMC: 255/80/17, or 265/70/17.

I know it. Keyword searches are valuable across this entire forum. Sometimes it's actually better to search in Google and have it bring you to the relevant TW thread from there.

Here is the TW tire size calculator that allows you to enter in various configurations and have them compared to your current setup. The 2 sizes I gave you previously will provide additional lift from what your coils and leaf pack will give you. So keep that in mind as you plan it all out.

I guess what I'd like to ask is 'what Old Man Emu suspension setup would you go with if it was your truck? (P265/65/R17 on DC TRD Sport 4X4 with a front Low Pro bumper planned and bed rack with RTT and gear in bed)

Do the rear springs settle out? I’m not too happy with the way my truck ended up. The front doesn’t look any higher than it did with the stock springs and the rear end looks like it’s trying to pickup men of a lower caliber.

I put heavies in the front with the trim packer on the drivers side and medium springs in the rear.

It’s worth checking but my shop installed the spring top hat upside down when I had 885’s first installed so it literally netted me no lift...

That’s exactly what it is. They installed the bottom of the strut in upside down. I’m going in Monday morning to get it fixed.

I have the OME “medium” kit which includes 90021s, 885s and EL095R Rear leafs. Advertised as a 2” kit.. never measured because I go off of what looks good to me, no need for a measurement lol.

I’d say the rear got a solid 2-2.5” and the front has settled to around a 1.5-1.75” lift. (Have a snugtop canopy)

I’m looking to gain another .5-1.0” in the front and pondering the 887s + UCAs. Any thoughts ?!

The 885’s definitely gave you more than 1.75” of lift if installed correctly. And the Dakars will settle some. I recommend actually measuring from hub to fender and going from there.

Yup, that's about what 887's on a 3rd gen looks like. Great choice.

Found a used set of 884 coils on craigslist. Added them and bilstein 5100s on my 2018 off-road long bed. Didn’t do anything to the rear. Got about an inch out of the setup so still has a little rake. At the alignment shop now, will add pics in a bit. Already was running 265 75 16 wildpeaks on 16x8 0 offset wheels. Will enjoy the better shocks as well.

Front after alignment both fronts are 36.25. Exactly as predicted by headstrong.
