Want to get ARE or LEER. Don’t like the look of SnugTop. Who’s the better of the 2?

    OUCH!

I think I paid $900 for mine on the Taco 2007. I bought one for my F-150 two years ago and it was only $1500.

I'd highly recommend popping off your tailgate cap and taking some clear protective film across the tailgate to line where cap rear door touches the tailgate. Overtime the cap will shift enough to rub the paint there. The film will stop the damage. By popping the plastic tailgate cap you can get the film under the cap and have a nice clean line.

I had a cap for a few months this summer and ran into rubbing on the tail gate. The cap also shifted enough to rub a bit on the sides of the bed. If I were to redo it I'd pull the rail covers and line with the clear film.

From all the research they are pretty comparable. They are manufactured at same facility from what I was told. I chose the leer due to having one on my previous taco. Happy with the product. Pricy indeed, but all brands are pretty similar. The window/vent layout was something that I considered. Really happy with the look of the leer. No complaints.

    Looks awesome!!

I'm so torn on if I want a prinsu roof rack or not. Wouldn't get used a whole lot but would come in handy when having to transport longer items every now and then.
