I think it was asked before but are you painting once orders are placed or are you only making so many sets for each color? I keep thinking some options will be more popular than others

 

I'm painting about 50 sets of each color code to start off.

 

Any plans for production for the 2nd gens?

I'm interested in them! Nice work. Got a 2017 just basic black "202" paint code.

 

Will have them all Monday, then To paint. So probably next weekend they will be ready for sale!

 

Have you settled on a final price?

 

I’ve settled on $30 raw and $45 color match painted+clear coat. The Raw ones will be available ASAP next week(as I don’t have to do any post process) and painted ones later. starting with 50sets of each color(13 Total colors! Thanks Toyota!) and we’ll see how they go from there.

 

Really, 13 colors I didn't realize it till I started to piece the changes in. That's a lot of prep and painting. Won't be long the little one can help and learn from daddy

 

@mesojdm this might have been covered before but what is your background that you have access to injection molding and really nice 3d printers? I'm really jealous.

 

My background is actually car and home audio/video systems, custom Fabrication, etc. I then ran CNC machines making molds for a company(who also happens to have 3D printers, powdercoating, etc) Last, my father specializes in business startups(which require a lot of manufacturing) so he’s helped me establish other outside contacts.
I have been really grateful for the resources that allow me to make my ideas and dreams come to fruition. But it hasn’t been easy!

Raws are available now on my site now, colored matched will be stocked throughout the week.
Did a quick spray on a set just to see how they would turn out. Whatever color I grabbed first...happened to be voodoo. What a god awful color lol. Other than that fitment, dimensions and everything else is on point!
