I think every 90k, but I do everything extra since I can be known to beat it like a red headed step child... So every 60k or so it gets new NGK Laser Iridium plugs. Always gets bare minimum 89 octane (usually only for road trips) but mostly 91 or 93 octane

 

Yes I have the four-cylinder I bought it with 78K on it so I honestly don't know what happened before that. It was sold to me Toyota certified so I'm sure they had just change them right ?
I just know that I have 70,000 miles on these plugs

You shouldn't be exposing the valve body. I could replace my controller and never see the valve body. If you have to take the valve body out with the controller head, then you're draining down the system. Can you post a pic of the instructions? Mine said the valve body could remain during installation but the controller head needed to be removed. There was no gasket.

Damn... You treat that thing well! I feed mine 87 octane and tell it it had better like it! I do keep up with fluid and filter changes though. I tried higher octane fuel while towing a few times and it didn't make any difference that I could tell.

I need it to perform, wheeling or on a 2,500 mile round trip. Rear diff and trans (gear oils) changed every 30k and everything changed every 60k miles. AFe drop in filter, Toyota oil filters, mobil full synthetic 5w-30, plugs every 60k, full ceramic front pads, top of the,line suspension and U joint components, preventive maintenance all the time

 

Btw the KCs are pretty nice . They're not super bright for the sake of being bright. But on the road they clearly define the lines really and ground in front really really well

 

Ok ,I see what your saying . Two screws will take off head while leaving line sealed.
So ,in theory ,I can replace power head, and if valve body is NG I can go to plan B and plumb it in?

 

I always heard that you get optimum results withyellow or amber lights when used for fog
